For anyone that went other than Templar. Just because you're dragon and/or illuminati doesn't mean you can't group with us. Just add the Nickname's we've mentioned to your friends list, I'm sure anyone would be happy to help people out and group up with questing and stuff.

The cabal separation is mostly for Faction PvP, which I'll never partake in anyway, but it is sad it segments us as such.

Good point. Will do. My character is GlowingEmber if anyone wants to add me.

The chat system is pretty good too. You can create your own channels. So it wouldn't be a stretch to have an additional cross faction chat if that was desired. Unless they fixed it in this patch though, you have to resubscribe to chat channels after zoning.

@darkjester74: Me too. Any other conductors of chaos lurking about? Maybe we should form something.

I joined some random cabal and it seems weird they have a society column in the cabal window. Maybe they'll open it up. Or maybe they were going to and never removed the column.

" Sounds like Gabe has tried to put Steam support on the 360 and MS said no. I remember when Valve were annoyed that they weren't allowed to put out free DLC, so I guess this is Gabes way of getting his own back. "
This guy has the right idea. "
Maybe, but then again that's purely conjecture so who knows what the case really is.  Either way Steam on a console seems kind of pointless to me...? "
As other's mentioned - it is far from being pointless. Auto-updates are awesome (no more waiting weeks for verification), possibility of free DLC and just the streamlined delivery that steam offers is awesome. "
why would someone not want to wait while they test updates and make sure they work without fail? "
Ideally, companies already go through a QA process on their updates (though, sometimes I do wonder...) Going through the console manufacturer is just an additional verification process. Sometimes it is good they looked it over and sometimes it is a pointless waiting period.

That said, I'm not sure Steam on the console makes sense. Steam is a centrally managed service. Updates, DLC, Delivery are all part of this service; same with Xbox Live and PSN. It just happens that Valve feels the best way to serve their customers is offering this service the way they do.

Before I get any hate... Seriously, look at the basic functions of those three services. Some might have more bells and whistles than the others, but they serve the same purpose.
