I really want to play boardgames more, but I don't have anyone to play them With.

Yeah, it can be hard to find a group, or to find times when everyone is free, even if you've got a gaming group. There are a lot of great solo board games, though, if that interests you at all.

I know this is a long shot, but has anyone here played Castle Dice? If so, what's your opinion on the game? I've got an opportunity to get the game and the expansion in a trade, but I'm not sure it's worth it. The reviews are decent, but not stellar.

Currently reading The Unseen Realm: Recovering the Supernatural Worldview of the Bible, by Dr. Michael Heiser. So, so good. I've been reading piles of books in the last 6 months or so. I'm also just starting book 2 of the Misborn series, The Well of Ascension. I'll likely get through that one much slower, although that series is excellent.

@aquablak:Be on the lookout for the new Exotic Khvostov 7G-OX. Set it to a high fire rate with Counterbalance and Braced Frame and you should be in amazing shape. Otherwise look for another Low Impact and High Fire Rate Auto with those same perks. Those are the best Auto Rifles for PvP right now and they put in work for PvE as well. For PvE specifically though it's hard to beat the Zhalo Supercell Exotic. It absolutely melts trash mobs and is the only Elemental Primary in Destiny right now (has Arc Damage). It's ok in PvP, but has terrible range and and a slower TTK than it's higher fire rate brothers. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info! I don't plan to get the new expansion anytime soon, as I'm just now getting into the Taken King, but I'll keep an eye out for Zhalo through Xur. Hope he's got it available soon! Cheers!

Can someone direct me to an assault rifle that isn't crazy difficult to earn, but is reasonably effective for both PvE and PvP? I recently returned to the game, and I find myself a little lost. I won't be putting dozens and dozens of hours into the game, but I'd like a relatively effective and fun assault rifle to rock in various situations.

I haven't played much of any Zelda game, ever, beyond a few hours here and there. I recently bought a New 3DS XL, and I'd love to get into (and finish) a Zelda game, but I have no idea which I should aim at delving into. I'm a kid from the 80's, and I've never played the NES Zelda's (I was a Sega guy, and I only watched friends play the old Zelda's), so those are super tempting, but I'm not sure if I'd be able to get into them now. I was always fascinated by Zelda II, but who knows if it holds up today. I've never played Ocarina of Time, and that looks great, and I'm sure A Link Between Worlds is very polished... Any advice? Judging by these lists, opinions vary quite a bit, so I should probably just pick one and give it a go. :) Still, I'd be happy to hear recommendations for a relative Zelda newby with a 3DS.

Managed to pick up Bang! The Dice Game and Codenames the other day. It'll be a while before I get to play them, but I recently had a game night with 7 friends, and our options were pretty limited (we played Formula D, The Resistance and Noir. The Resistance was the biggest hit), so when these two games popped up on a used site, I decided to pounce!

I was faced with the dilemma of getting the New 3DS or waiting for the NX just a while ago. I decided to get a New 3DS, and I'm loving it. As a point of reference, I felt burned by the Gamecube and Wii, and had little interest in getting another Nintendo system any time soon. However, getting some hands on time with the N3DS in a store, and realizing that there were a pile of games available that interested me, I took the plunge.

So far Mario Land 3D and Xenoblade Chronicles have been awesome. I've got a couple Zelda games, Fire Emblem and Monster Hunter waiting for me next, and I can't wait to check them out.

Has Xenoblade been fairly easy to get into? I've got an N3DS and it seems like a shame to not get into one of the few exclusives for the system, but I've been scared off of the game's intimidating nature.

I haven't found it difficult getting into it, but I did have the same concern going in. It is a bit daunting at first, because it continues to introduce new mechanics hours into the game, but I found it compelling enough to keep my interest through the learning curve. To have such a large RPG, with fun characters, solid voice-acting, fun mechanics (in my opinion), and an interesting world to explore on a handheld is a tremendous novelty. I'm about 17 hours in, and I'm still enjoying it.
