If you can play other old CRPGs then you'll enjoy this. If not then the Fallout games will be just as difficult to get in to. However, the choice and freedom in the games is fantastic, as are the stories and characters. 2 is goofier than 1 but I also enjoyed it more. Accidentally kicking off a city wide fight in New Reno is still one of my favourite video game moments :)
I would advise checking out a primer to help you build your character as the start of both games is very tough. I would also recommend fan patches to fix all the bugs in 2 and put the kids back into the game. At least then you won't be getting pick pocketed by invisible thieves. Check them out here -
Oh and I forgot to say, the progression from 1 to 2 and then New Vegas is great. The rise of the NCR and stagnation of the Brotherhood is really interesting. It's much more interesting compared to how things seem so static in Fallout 3 and 4.
@razzuel: Ya, that's the problem with these movies. Nothing really changes, even when they killed Nic Fury, they just brought him back. it makes everything lack meaning. There's no way they are even going to commit to the levels of the comic books which are notorious for retconning everything every few years. If they had this movie end the same way as the comic series did it would be pretty fantastic but there isn't a hope in hell of that happening.
@dudeglove: It's kind of funny really because Bucky isn't even in the Civil War comics (afaik). The whole thing kicks off in the comics because of a reality TV show.
@soulcake: I've never understood the issue that ye have with gambling web sites (I'm assuming you're from the US, apologies if I'm wrong). What's the problem with them?
I haven't played Fallout 4 yet but do they keep faction rep? That was a much better system than the karma system. It was used in 2 & New Vegas to good effect. I hope it's still in there casue the new conversation system is a bit of a bummer.
I just want the mod that adds prefixes to all the item names so that they auto sort by type. That and the one that gives all the default male nude skins massive erections.
@albo181: I don't think anyone is going to to talk about this one dude, we're not allowed talk about emulators here so I'd chipped X-Box's are right out.
