Going on a Nostalgic Gaming Run!

Hey Duders,

Where I am, school starts september 1st, so i dont have allot of time to sit around and do nothing (something i enjoy at times). And today i woke up with a feeling, i was remembering playing the sly cooper games, the jak and daxter games and beyond good and evil. All of which i think were a step ahead of the competition when they were released! Unfortunately, i was moving house once and lost a fair amount if my PS2 collection, i have sly 3, jak 3 and im hoping beyond good and evil, if i dont have it, a friend will lend it to me. :D  looking forward to playing these again!
Do you guys like these games? Would/have you replayed these games recently?

Sly Cooper 3 is bad just play 1 and 2 and pretend 3 doesn't exist. Also Jak 3 not that good too little actual platforming and too many driving missions that are marred by weird terrain and physics issues.   Beyond Good & Evil has a great story and atmosphere but the game play leaves something to be desired.
For PS2 games that still hold up I would recommend Ratchet and Clank 2 and 3 (but would avoid 1 and Deadlocked), The Warriors, Bully (if you haven't played on any other console), the Onimusha series, Okami, Devil May Cry 1 & 3, and Viewtiful Joe.

Jak 1 is pure platforming.....wow saying that made me want to go play it over again....

I didn't really like Jak 2 but Jak 3 was ok.  If there is one to replay though it would certainly be the first one.

@dpedal1: Those were the good days of Jak and Daxter (:
@bartok: Ive got too disagree with you, i do prefer sly 3 over 1, mostly because i preffered the open-world feel, sly 1 was still great, they just became different games. Beyond good and evil, for the year it was released, for me at least, left nothing to be desired, it was perfect (once again, for that time).
And thanks for the games list, ive got DMC3: special edition, tis' hard :P. And i agree about deadlocked, i dont know what went through the developers heads when making that game... 3 was. amazing.

I replayed Jak 3 a couple of years ago, and wrote a guide for Giant Bomb in the process. It's still a fantastic game, and a lot of fun to play, even though I've always thought it to be the weakest of the Jak trilogy. I've never understood how anybody could perceive a PlayStation 2 game to be unplayable - the vast majority of titles that received acclaim back then still look and feel great now.

Are you kidding? The driving in Jak 3 is actually fun (unlike in Jak X), and it has a great story, lots of landscape variety and great shooting.
