@Nation764: You're characterization of this site before Patrick arrived is comical and almost utopian, like we were all one big family singing "Kumbaya" in the comments section. You basically say this doesn't belong here because this site is about games and letting the good times roll. Grow up, people like to disagree and prove the other wrong.

Kudos to the OP if the title was intentional, it doesn't seem to matter how much text there is, people will still ask questions or make counter arguments that were addressed in the first few sentences. I wrote an article back in high school about the information age kind of robbing the youth of some basic communication and problem solving skills. It's only gotten worse since facebook and twitter, people only want the pertinent core information so they can make a comment and go on to the next thing.

I've never owned a pair but I have a few friends that do sound and video that swear by Sony MDR-V6's and 7506's. Sony has supposedly sold millions of these things since the 80's (they're almost identical headphones) and continue to sell them at about the same rate.

My Grados from high school still sound great but they've never been outside, pretty much any headphone you take with you will eventually be damaged or completely destroyed. I've had pretty good luck keeping my expensive sets inside and having a designated drawer for them, that's really the only way you'll be able to hold onto them for any length of time.

@BBAlpert: Made it to Duna after trying all night to get to Jool. That's the super heavy lander in the screenshot, it's included with 0.17 and actually quite heavy as I found trying to slow down approaching Jool and running out of fuel each time. I'm getting encounters but I use up so much fuel getting my ejection velocity to around 3700m/s and it takes forever with that nuclear engine however efficient it is. I think I'll just slap a few engines on some fuel tanks I have feeding the nuclear engine and have them decouple once I get to ejection velocity.

@BBAlpert: Yeah, through the miracle of the internet my game was updated. Keep at it. I'm having loads of fun but holy shit does interplanetary travel take FOREVER even at 100,000X speed it can take several minutes to go from periapsis to apoapsis. New parts and tweaks to existing parts make deep space travel easier, I'm really liking the new nuclear engine. Vinny and Drew should revisit the game now that there's more training and a few scenarios that start you in orbit.

Sony should just integrate the PS3 into a line of Bravia TVs or something. Just hit the button on your controller and it switches from TV right into the PS3 interface.

I have no problem yelling at rude people. It's somewhat of a recent development of mine where in the last five years or so I've felt no inhibitions as far as putting assholes in their place. I recently moved to an apartment near a major intersection that always gets blocked by cross traffic, so people sometimes lean on their horn waiting for cars to clear the intersection (this is a new development, people never used the horn when I was a kid.) I can hear this from my apartment and it's extremely annoying, so now wherever I'm crossing the street at this intersection and someone does this, I walk right up to their window and yell "SHUT THE FUCK UP" at their face. I've done this twice, and guess what? It's been two months since I've heard someone lean on their horn.

I was rather surprised to be in the majority this time, last time I voted on one of these most people were full time facebook users. For some reason social media hooks have never found their way into me, which I always found odd given how popular facebook and twitter are. I have a facebook account that was made for me that hasn't been touched in at least four years, I find it a little amusing my high school friends still bother to stop by the page every year because facebook reminded them of my birthday.
