I'm getting pissed and tired of the world

I don't wanna write too much about it, but stuff happened in the past few days due to which I'm disappointed of people and the dirty ways in which they think. (Just joined College and am disgusted by the way some of the people think.)
Also, all the rush and crazyness shown by everyone to become successful and "do well" in life seems meaningless to me. I can't see why people are in such a rush and what they want from life.

So then, with this bad mood hovering over my head, today I went on to Youtube and found this video. It's not really connected, but it sure worsened my mood. Now I'm totally disinterested in my own life, and feel like doing something about all the shit in the world.
here's the vid.

I don't know anything about the situations in Israel and I won't pretend I do, but whatever I saw was sickening and no excuses can be given for it. I've been trying to learn about it on the internet, but if anybody feels like enlightening me, please do.
So do any of you people ever get tired of life anytime? I just can't see the point of the way everyone's trying to live their lives. I can't see why there are so many negative things done by people.
Also, anyone ever felt like "saving the world"? If yes, how do you plan to do it? And please don't make any personal insults. If you don't like the topic, please don't reply.
I'll probably snap out of my bad mood in a few days, but I don't whether that would be a good thing. I'm seriously tired of ignoring all the evil in the world, and feel like doing something about it.
Well, what are your thoughts people?

Honestly, don't take this the wrong way but just seems like you were heavily sheltered until you got to college and it's more of a culture shock. I had the same thing for the same reasons and after a week or so I was fine but yea if that's what it is it really does suck =/

You claim that there is no rush to be successful and sort of "grow up," yet you don't want to be participating in the activities that the majority of the young people of our time do? What do you want to do then?

I've never been to a devestated area on the same level as israel, but I have been a part of various church groups that have went to areas to put in a week(or more) of volunteer work to help out communities that need it(New Orleans and Honduras for example).

I'm not telling you to join a church to volunteer in areas, but it is a rewarding experience to go with a group to an area in need and help out one way or the other. Not only will you receive personal satisfaction for helping others, but it looks good on a resume.

It might be a little late now, seeing that it's your first semester of college, but maybe something to think about next year?

Yeah, I guess that's it. Though I knew what all goes on in the world, I wasn't surrounded by it the way I am now. It's everywhere.

I'm seriously tired of ignoring all the evil in the world, and feel like doing something about it.

I agree with you.

The way i see it, is that in the spectrum of life there are people with various goals, from save the world, to burn it to ashes. Some people just want to do well in life and have tons of money, others want to save the world.

For me money is essential, to a degree, but far from being everything i want. The most i search for is freedom. To be myself without feeling guilty. :)

To save the world isn't an easy task for any one person alone. If you wish to do so, be yourself, and wait till you can make a change.

People want to be successful because they don't want to scrub toilets for a living. I wouldn't say that they're rushing, time flies and if you think you have plenty of it, you'll find yourself falling behind in life.

You'll outgrow your shock. Afterwards you'll normalize, although you'll be different than before. About games your desire will return. :)

Just keep in mind that people ARE NOT supposed to be that way. If you're honestly that saddened, I'd suggest therapy. Or talking to a similarly-minded person might work as well.

Well what your seeing is reality, you were sort of ignorant to it. Trust me the older you get, the more cynical you will get, everyone only cares about themselves and they are selfish. Money is important if you want to get married one day, no one will want you if you don't have alot of money, you can't raise a family, retire, or get buried without it. That's why this money concept is so important. The attraction to the opposite sex and those behaviors are natural even if you don't like it, to them it's a win win situation biologically. We all get older, the only beauty in this world is attractive women, that withers away. You think we are civilized, that's what happens when you are so used to living in a democractic world, if we didn't all of us here has the ability to kill other if necessary without a second though, it happens everywhere else in the world. Maybe some anti depressants might help, you seem a bit depressed. I am a realist, it took me time, yet I accept reality.

You try to make the best out of being fucked for life; being morose doesn't really change anything.

Holden is famous for being an anti-hero for teenagers learning to fucking read real books for the first time, but in reality, he's an example of what too much teenage cynicism and bitterness can lead to when transitioning into adulthood. If you're a LOT like Holden, chances are you're either completely normal, or you need therapy.

@Jeust: no, however they all have the same psychology regardless. Alot of these are fueled by our human needs. I'll explain it, we all have six human needs you mentioned one of them, certainty we need to be certain like a schedule a job. We need uncertainty or we get bored, we need signifigance to be acknowledged. We need connection with others, that explains the drinking and peer presser flirting. Also we need growth and lastly contribution like rich donating to the poor. These are universal human needs, so maybe it is as certain as i've explained it. We aren't as individualist as we all think we are, we are part of society which has social norms and we are ruled by psychology. Yes your right, not everyone has the same experiences as everyone else, they don't interpret the world the same either, that's what makes us different. However i'm mostly speaking on human needs and that can't change. The need of importance has fueled war to tyrants and power hungry war mongers. The need for connection has led to slutty women and lots of fornication. The need for growth has resulted in trying to earn money. The need for uncertainty has driven alot of us to travel, to go on a vacation. The need to contribute, means we had enough of our needs met, we can contribute. Ppl are sort of similar and not everywhere else in the world has as much as we do. Some of the world with these six human needs are very poor, their full of uncertainty, a lack of growth, a contribution to a war, ect. I hope that made sense. Maybe the op doesn't realise it these needs yet and why ppl are the way they are. With this process we have survived generations after generations because of it. The best way to deal with it is to understand it and to accept it. Maybe reframe the way you see the world, it's called a paradigm. Maybe positive thinking works, although I doubt it. Maybe accept it like I do, be a realist. Or maybe try to change things, be an idealist, you can change the way you see things. Our belif is an absolute feeling of certainty, question your belifs, make it uncertain, then questions it, maybe you can challenge it and change it. I used to see the world in a very negative way before.

The point in being successful is to take advantage of the fools with superficial goals and aims, whether it be by extortion, tax funneling, or simply charging what you need for a limited service.

Just study hard, be the best you can, and take wrangle all the capitol you want. What do you expect? These people come from all different ideologies, you can't change them. They've made their choices.
Don't lie to yourself as well; don't ignore all the horrors done in the world.

And you're in college? Quite surprising you haven't rationalized these things at least somewhat before-hand.

In any case, here's a song that some may enjoy -- she sings, "I've got bros and hos all along the coast / when it comes to lovin', they love me the most / I don't need your stinkin', sleazy attitude / Lately you've been puttin' me in a lousy mood"

Some worlds with these six human needs are very poor, their full of uncertainty, a lack of growth, a contribution to a war, ect. Our belif is an absolute feeling of certainty, question your belives, make it uncertain, then questions it, maybe you can challenge it and change it. I used to see the world in a very negative way before. "
Wow. That was a lot of good insight. Thanks.

But you're making it sound orders of magnitude worse than it is! It's just about both people having a good time. Girls do what you're describing also. :)

@armaan8014: No, it's how you feel and that's fine. You shouldn't feel that you need to cover up what you think. Similarly I'm responding with what I feel.

Use this sadness as a motivator. Do your best in college and find away to save the world.

Just don't become the antichrist.

2 things are the reason for this, capitalism and religion.

Capitalism turns every country against each other as does religion.

And a shitty attitude towards women is religion all the way. 2000+ years of female opression does that.
