Reach is really good, don't listen to the nay sayers, it's a bunch of BS.
Yeah play Reach. But play 1-3 first. Reach doesn't have the intended impact without the context of the original trilogy. And, yeah I don't know where the hate for Reach comes from or why but it's truly excellent.
Because it's a bullshit, literally cheating game on anything higher than normal and the later levels are fucking AWFUL if you don't have friends to co op with, the fights can come down to sheer randomness and luck(is that elite going to throw a grenade at me before i am even around the corner or just charge me and kill me in one punch who knows!), the story is sub par(care about these people because we told you to), the music is the weakest in the series and it has no decent setpieces or levels like any of the other Halo games; the closest it comes to is the space level and even then it's a brief distraction from the regular corridor crawl.
I like Reach, don't regret buying it, but it's not a great Halo game.
Play Halo 1 if you have to choose between the two, you'll get more out of it. Reach is no good without context, the buildup of previous games and knowing a bunch about the Halo universe when you go into it.
man that whole scene where they take their helmets off is sooooo badass, makes me wanna learn more about the whole spartan story, you know how they become spartans and such. Any good suggestions for that? like what books should i read for that?
Man, this whole series was WAY better than I thought it was going to be. Usually when I hear web series my initial reaction is "oh boy here we go" but this... this was something special.
Sometimes when standing right next to someone, you can't shoot them because the barrel of the gun is past their body, but other than that I've had no issues at all. In fact I've found the controls pretty damn snappy!
Had this a couple time but then I used it to beat the final boss, so... yup!
