Today I probably failed my Chemistry exam. I studied though, just not the parts that were on the test. That's an even worse feeling than plain-old failing because you didn't even crack the text book.
Also, I learned a valuable lesson despite this possible educational setback. I learned how not to give a fuck. It's simple.
"To action alone hast thou a right and never at all to its fruits; let not the fruits of action be thy motive; neither let there be in thee any attachment to inaction"
- The Bhagavad Gita
It means to put your energy into concentrating in the actual work you're doing. Work can mean many things. Be it studying for a test, sleeping, talking to someone, or doing stand up comedy. Don't focus on the result because more often than not you'll neglect the action that is required to get any result at all. By living like this for a couple of days, I've let go of my inhibitions and hang ups. It's fucking weird. I am just being.
Goals are important, just not the most important. Live in the present.
