Summer Of Arcade hasn't been so bad, i mean i have bought 3 out of the 5 games released so far (the first 3) and although i don't plan to buy this or Dust, i'd say it's been a bit lacking compared to previous years but not so bad.

The fact they released some of their best games earlier in the year with Trials Evolution and Fez, if they had just saved those for this instead of making up another promotional period for those two games between this and Block Party, then you would have had the quality we come to expect from SoA.

To me this game is timeless and will never show it's age and be crap, unlike many other games from this era.

Excited to play this again.

I have never ever understood the hate towards EA, they have consistantly made decent games in the last 15 years or so, some of my all time favourite games have been from them. Even some of their annual games come out really well (Fifa 12 was especially great, a significant improvement over 11 anyway and NFS Hot Pursuit is the best NFS game ever, fact) and they have got great developers with Criterion and Bioware. Burnout 3 was one of my all time favourite games of the last generation and i reckon that was probably down to EA giving Criterion the money to do something crazy and great with their series, to which at the point of purchase they weren't 'great' but could be great. Same can be said with Mass Effect, as that first game was poor but the sequel (now with EA) was absolutely amazing.

SSX is an EA game that came out recently and is absolutely fantastic, i'm completely hooked on it!

If anybody deserves the award for fucking customers over look at Activision and the raping and pillaging of the CoD franchise .. and the inevitable CoD: Black Ops 2 ... no need at all.

If you're wondering who takes all the benefits for Game going down?? The supermarkets! The likes of Asda and Tesco have undercut Game and Gamestation for years with high profile releases like Fifa and Call Of Duty and, at one time got a slap on the wrist for doing so. Mass Effect 3 still managed to get to number 1 in the UK charts despite it not being sold in Game or Gamestation, so people have gone elsewhere. Both Asda and Tesco have been doing their own trade in systems for a good couple of years and they have occasionally offered better trade in prices than both Game and Gamestation, but their resale prices of said preowned games are ridiculous, there have been some cases that the brand new packaged game is cheaper than the preowned copy which is weird.

The only other big electronic retailer that would benefit from this is one called HMV which also has Music and DVDs and blu rays and things of that nature, and they've been on the edge of death for a good year or two but have never been that close to death like GAME, and i bet the head of HMV is praying to God that GAME go under as they'll be the ones who will benefit the most as they probably won't go under.

GAME aren't a good retailer, GAME also own Gamestation which is a slightly better shop to go into but if GAME goes, so do Gamestation ... someone will buy em out and they'll just rebrand everything and all will be A-OK, guaranteed!

thanks for your views, i like how on that demo video they must have made the game easier just for the demo as that was the level i was repeating over and over to get done, so i know that drop back to front now. Near the beginning of the video there's a part where he's 2min 16secs into the race and he was right at the end and still in first place, and i know for damn sure if you're past the two minute mark on that level, you're definately in second place!

I've read numerous times you can use the wingsuit to cheese a few events but on the events i struggle on this doesn't work well, i noticed too that using the Wingsuit tends to slow you down a little bit more (got a level 10 wingsuit too) so i dunno about using that, i've definately tried it. I'm guessing that will work on a few more of the killer drops like Everest or something.

some Rockstar titles got reduced in price too, Manhunt 2 and The Warriors were knocked down to £6.99 each which is very tempting because i loved The Warriors on the Xbox ... only reason i haven't invested is because i recently purchased all three GTA games on the PSP and i have yet to touch them, so seems like a waste at the minute.
