You're not the only one duder. After he died, I just...stopped coming here. I don't know why. I mean I'd come back occasionally to check my profile, but I haven't been in the mood to regularly browse the site. I'll certainly try though.

And welcome back.

I will pour my glass of Peach Mango tea to the man. Cheers, Ryan Davis.

Goddamnit, my day just got worse.

Ryan Davis, you were awesome. You will definitely be missed. RIP :(

  • In most RPG's I've played, whenever a character is close to leveling up (depending on where I'm at in the game, 20 or 100 exp points left, etc.) I just have to grind a bit more to have them level up. I don't know if that makes any sense though.
  • Ratchet and Clank. Hella bolts. That is all. Oh and any collectibles floating around.
  • XCOM: Enemy Unknown. EVERY soldier as to survive EVERY mission.
  • Same with you on the Assassin's Creed Viewpoints. You'd be a fool not to synchronize with EVERY single one in any game.
  • Borderlands 2. Can't. Seem. To. Reach. That. Part. Of. Map. Where. The. Black. Spots. Are. Son of a bitch.
  • Skyrim. Loot too much items and end up going over the carry limit. I'll just walk the rest of the way until I reach a town. I just have to sell ALL my loot.

That's all I can think of right now.

2 miles of walking is better than 0 miles of sitting on your ass, so yeah, keep it up.

Pretty much this. You're doing something productive health-wise, you know? So that's good.

@cloudenvy @dochaus : what's that thing again, gargantuan... whatever? anyways, I'll probably get around to it eventually.... my backlog of anime is about 30-something series to get around to watching. (Koihime Mosou series, anyone?)

It's an anime about a space soldier dude who gets thrown through a wormhole and ends up on Earth, which people left because it ran into another ice age. The coordinates were apparently lost a bajillion years ago, and now Earth is habitable though practically everything is water. It's not been particularly original so far, but it does some stuff way better than most anime nowadays.

Gen Urobuchi, the scriptwriter has mentioned that the big theme is "finding your place in the world" and the anime is specifically targeted towards people who are trying to get into the job market.

Also: Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet

For example: belly dancing

Don't get me wrong, even though the subtlety of the fanservice is slowly fading away, I like Gargantia a lot actually. The way they placed the theme into the setting is well done. Red (or Ledo) is now in a place which he knows very little about and now he has to learn how to fit into this new world. Just like how a freshly graduated student enters the life of an adult. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I would like to think this is how it is.

Gargantia, for me, is by far the best show this season, and you nailed how I feel about this show specifically. This and the Demon Lord Who Works At McDonalds and (Almost) Has His Own Demon Harem are the two shows I'm into so far this year. Everything else I've seen is either shit or boring.

Also regarding Urobutcher as the scriptwriter, I believe he only wrote the first and last episodes, with different writers doing the rest of the episode. Still, it's different from anything he's been doing so far (Psycho Pass, Madoka, Fate/Zero), and that's not such a bad thing.

I also heard Shit Art Online will air on Toonami in August. As if Toonami wasn't shit already.

@jazgalaxy: Knowing someone who is a huge fan of these games I can tell you that fans of Kingdom Hearts follow the games to the systems they go on.

Beyond that, the release of a Kingdom Hearts game immediately means it's time to purchase the platform. The quality of the game is no longer relevant.

...also, I am baffled that anybody is still excited for Versus XIII after all this.

I'm more surprised people still think Versus XIII actually exists.
