Holy crap, thinking way back... the original GB and GBC Pokemon games are the backbone of my childhood. These songs bring back such awesome memories and feelings, holy shit.
It's definitely one of the best games I've ever played, and not so much for the puzzles, but the entire atmosphere the game presents you with. It just makes you feel good. I don't think I turned my DS off once since I started, just left it in sleep mode between short bursts of playing it.
The warmness of the whole experience together with the great story and writing, and characters, and the animated cutscenes... oh my god. It's had a weird effect on me, and left an impression that Jeff said it would in his review.
I really can't wait for the next game in the series.
By the way... ever notice how his head strikingly resembles a legoman's head?
The eyes, the mouth... I can just imagine a little connector piece under his hat... 2 Comments
Ryan posted something interesting here. I listened to it and it was so cheesy but I really liked it. I downloaded it... Direct link to the song
I've been listening to it while browsing this site and even though it's super cheesy, it hits me with a weird feeling. I started thinking of what was going on at the beginning of this year, and how excited I was that these guys were setting up a website like this. I started thinking of how much work, and effort has gone into this site. All the while, the song looping in the background. Was kinda surreal. I've really enjoyed this site and everything we're capable of doing. The podcast is also great, I have almost every one inside their own folder and get the new ones right as they come out.
I was one of the first people to create an account here, I randomly checked the site one night and it still wasn't up. I hit refresh right before going to bed and the site popped up, hit me like a ton of bricks. Set my account up and started surfing. Been here since.
So thanks Jeff, Ryan, Brad and Vinny. This site is awesome, great job. /sentimental mushy stuff
