Why would anyone buy a regular 3DS when the 3DS XL is exactly the same price?
That is what it is in Australia. Is it the same price in other parts of the world?
What I really can't understand is why on earth anyone would buy the regular one at the same price. Prove me wrong people. Anyone here buy the regular over the XL at the same price? Also, surely they can't cost the same to produce. Does that mean one is under-priced or over-priced? I don't ever remember seeing a situation like this in the game console market before. I find it bizarre.
It does however make the XL a bargain. For the record, they are both $229 Au (a PS Vita is $349 for comparison). To clear up the "wow, you guys pay too much" comments, we get paid a lot more than the average American, with the minimum wage at $16 an hour and the average wage over $50k a year. Even the absolute worst job will get you over $30k a year.
I have no idea what that movie was, so I looked it up. This is what I read about its story:
The Barden Bellas are a collegiate, all-girls a cappella singing group thriving on female pop songs and their perfect looks. After a disastrous failing at last year's finals, they are forced to regroup. Among the new recruits is freshman Beca, an independent, aspiring DJ with no interest in the college life. But after she meets Jesse, from the rival all-male a cappella group, Beca has a new outlook and takes it upon herself to help the Bellas find their new look and sound and get back into the competition.
Hell no am I going to watch that. I don't care what reviews it got. My personal bias means I don't watch films that have this kind of story. However, I believe you have a pint to add to that which I am missing - give it to me.
Hahaha I said that because there was a scene in a movie where guys sing "Sex baby, let's talk about all the good things and the bad things, that maybe. Let's talk about sex." That was the first thing came to my mind from your post lol
Nah, just like me a bit of Salt 'N' Pepa from the early 90s. It is still a great song.
@deathstriker666: character my ass they are trying to a copyright a man's likeness no one ever said the name kevin butler in that commercial the only thing they have to go on is the same man played the part. In other words what they are saying is you are not allowed to work for anyone else because you look like you.
Remindsw of when a record company sued John Fogarty, lead singer and writer of Creedence Clearwater Revival. Anyway, in the 80s, Fogarty had a hit with a song that sounded a lot like a song he wrote in the late 60s, which the record had copyright for. So they sued him for copyright infringement of a song he wrote himself. The record company lost, but it tied Fogarty up in court for a long time.
Shorter story - big companies are inherently evil.
Scores for products have been and always will be unnecessary for reviews.
DUDE. That is what I said in my topic, Let's Talk About Metacritic and you hung shit on me. Okay then, you have made my list!
Your blog stated that scores are bad because they don't not equate to your personal tastes. Your blog essentially stated that you want reviews to state back of the box bulletpoints. That you want 'facts' and not 'assessment'. What is a review but an assessment of a product? What your blog boiled down to was that you don't want reviews of video games. You want fact sheets void of what the product is like to experience.
That's it. You made my list TWICE!
You didn't even read it. I said I read the summaries to get an assessment of what reviewers thought, to add to my personal bias. How exactly do I get those summaries without a review? That makes no sense at all. Sure, I said I am only looking for facts, but that doesn't mean I said they can't write whatever they want - just as I will read whatever I want. I want those facts because personal opinions are just that.
I love how we are arguing about essentially agreeing with each other. I think we should go on a date and get to know each other better. Be warned though, I am easy.
