I have so many games I can't even play them all... yet at the same time while some trade ins are worth something I can't decide if I should get BF3 PC or Uncharted 3.... too many games!
I will give you the same advice someone gave me about buying an old saturn: watch out for CD drive. I doubt old console CD drives have any sort of encryption like say the Xbox360 or strange formats like Dreamcast/Xbox1. But you may want to look into how easy it is to repair one, if there are replacement drives you can buy, or if there are ghetto solutions like using a PC CDrom drive...
Or, if you just want one for your display case and you will never play it: go for it.
Geometry Wars 1. But i had so much fun doing it. I have a lot of games I got close to S-Ranking but never did. Looking to S-rank the two mass effects before 3 comes out.
Props on Civ V and Trails HD ones. Those are crazy. I wonder if anyone ever S ranked SmashTV on Xbox.
Firstly, the visuals are really interesting. From 30 ft away the raytraced lighting and uniquely textured worlds are sublime, especially when moving through them at normal speed I feel really immersed and it really lives up to the promise of everything being unique. I never really feel in games like Crysis 2 and Gears 3 that the world is visually repetitive or unrealistic, but now I wonder because it really is noticeably better in rage when moving. Then however you get up close to some corners of the world and it is an overcompressed mess like a bad google street view and it throws into focus how static and unbreakable the world is... I'm the kind of gamer that obsessively checks every corner and I'm a gfx nerd and like to check things out in detail. Rage requires me to keep moving and step back to take the whole scene in instead of obsessing the details. A really interesting trade off, and when your actually playing the game running around its pretty amazing, but with all that uniqueness I'm continually compelled to stop and smell the roses only to get disappointed when i do... It's was a strange technical gamble and I think it payed off. The game is about running and shooting, not stopping in every dark corner to look at something.
Thats my gfx nerd out tho, the game itself is surprisingly a lot more enjoyable than expected. I have kind been burnt out on shooters lately, but this one is really fun. The core of just running around and shooting is really solid and is really helped by the fantastic animation and reactions of the characters.
Really looking forward to having all night to night to run through the game (on PC!)...
I was just going to write "only if you are a huge fan" I too have read all the books, comics, etc and loved the other DLC. This DLC isn't *bad* as much as it is just really short and really doesn't give you anything new. The plot rundown works like this: "Don't forget the reapers are coming!" as if we could forget. I'd say do it just for completionists sake, but don't expect anything nearly as good as LOTSB or overlord
