Jobless yet happy.

So I realized in the midst of my unemployment run that games can keep me content even with a lack of funds coming in.  Is this a good thing or a bad thing?  Pros of being happy while unemployed:  People gravitate to you and try to help you find work. You are much more relaxed during an interview because you aren't stressed about getting that job  as much as you are thinking well if I don't get it this time at the least I can finish grabbing the rest of the trophies in God of War III.  I have something to do all day besides sulk and complain to my girlfriend  that I don't have a job.  Cons:  The limited amount of money I have coming in gets squandered on the latest game or I will dwell about how I shouldn't get said game because I don't have the money.  I could be spending that time learning a trade or skill to help me get a job.

In the end I feel the games help me more than they hurt me mainly because well I'd have no job even if I didn't play games and lets face it even if I had time to learn a trade I'm probably going to waste that time doing something far less satisfying anyway .  My latest endeavors have been included playing castle crashers nothing like an rpg element in a game to help me waste gobs and gobs of time.  Now I wonder if I will have a job by the time Black Ops comes out.

I would like to point out to anyone reading this I do have a small part time job still, but really one or two days a week is only enough for me to afford maybe one game a month and still pay most of my bills.  It really is the pits.
