God of War is more focused on spectacle and story, and mashing square.

It depends what you want really.

This is actually one of the games I can actually see tolerate being played on one joycon. Lending itself kind of nice to playing with the thing on the go.

The hat jumping was a legitimate "oh my god" moment for me. That looks awesome. Especially seeing how I felt Mario games needed more movement options.
