in my city there was a lineup at best buy of around 30 people and only 8 of each game out on shelves. me and my friend grabbed the last SSFIV copies and went to pay, since we had preordered the system. if you search twitter for 3ds, like 90% of people there got it as a preorder from amazon/gamestop and had it mailed to their places. most retailers are learning to reap the benefits of preorders. still, though, i feel it has been a quiet launch compared to the wii/xbox360/ps3

I have to say, the battery life with the wifi turned OFF is significantly greater than when it's turned on. do yourself a favor and turn it off if you're not using it.

also: having the 3D on at min uses the same amount of power as having the 3D on at max. having it on max simply offsets the 2 images more.  while having it off doesn't produce a second image at all
i've found it useful to adjust the 3D slider to each game. in SSFIV i play with the 3D on at max, while in ghost recon i have it at 60% or so

I think that, luckily, it's no longer the days where "asking a girl out" or "taking her on a date" is a mandatory first step. what i usually do is ask a girl for coffee or something like that, no pressure or anything. if you somehow implode socially during the coffee outing then it won't matter too much since "coffee" isn't a "date" (but it can and will be if it goes well), because in the end whether it goes well or not you have to keep working with her afterwards and see her the next day.

The only advice I can give you is: Less CS, more real life. If your way of telling people you aren't socially awkward is by saying you have played a lot of online games with people, you need to get out.

" What a pointless move by him to be honest. Unless he sells this for a lot of cash, he's risked the only job he has a chance at getting for the sake of smuggling out hardware that everyone already knows exists. It's pretty much a penis enhancer/paperweight that could cost him his job. I'm not trying to say that Foxconn is a good place to work, but if he's working there, he probably doesn't have a shot at any other job anyway.  Well, for the sake of actual discussion: I didn't think the 3D slider was gonna be on the top screen, I thought it'd be like the volume controls but on the other side of the device. I could have seen that from official pictures released by Nintendo themselves without a guy having to risk his job months ago if I had cared though. "
you're not the target audience, though. i'm sure there's tons of nintendo fans out there going wild over this. i personally agree with you

i don't think a chinese factory worker could afford to have all that shit in the first place... i'm not doubting it's real, i'm doubting a person who makes 2$ a day has such a nice looking desk, a possible gaming mouse, wireless home phone, etc.
but then again... maybe he  sold it to this person, or something.

Not sure if this was mentioned already in this thread, but Gamestop employees are allowed to check out brand new games and play them for a period of 1-3 or 1-7 days and then bring them back to the store and still sell them as "unused - brand new". I've decided to stop shopping there, as their prices are quite simply higher, and trade in values have plummeted to a joke. My closest Gamestop is on the same block as a Best Buy and Gamestop won't even price match. Best Buy is destroying them with their lowest price guarantee.

EDIT: not to mention I've bought a few games there that I wanted NEW (like Bad Company 2, for the VIP maps) and the clerk tried to push a used copy on me, which is fine, but when I told him I would miss out on maps he said "You have no idea what you're talking about, that's ridiculous."
