But i won't sell those games here because it's not in any way my intent, and I'm not expecting much this time, and with both games I am in a minority anyways for who and what they are intended for.

Yes, Battlefield has a Sp this time, which some things are being said about. we will see. But I will avoid it for the same personal reason I avoided that other, what was it, Medal of Honor game? The one clearly in Afghanistan or such? Though I do have a dirty secret about all this, I played and enjoyed Vietcong. I remember that war.....

No one has ever been banned from live for flashing a hard drive and using it. Sure, they probably can according to the EULA, but it hasn't happened and it seems unlikely that they would since it doesn't allow piracy, cheating, profile mods, etc. any more than the official drive does. While it will technically void your warranty there is no way to get caught because you're instructed to remove your hard drive before sending in a console for repair.

This has nothing to do with 'texture compression'. They are just low res textures and removed models (due to baked in shadows etc making them completely unreadable at such low resolutions). Texture compression has nothing to do with why MW2 ran at 60frames/sec. It ran at that speed because the engine it uses is neither particularly demanding, nor particularly advanced (it's Q3E with more advanced rendering support essentially) and that's why MW3 is really beginning to show its age in all of the promo vids shown thus far.

Yup, but you said texture compression, not streaming. Texture streaming is about being able to dynamically tile models and scenes and that's what I was referring to when I said 'more advanced rendering'.

Either way I didnt know MW2 didnt use the texture compression found in Enemy Quake Wars.

Some of the Battleground stuff they added looks interesting. Such as combat fighting. Still I wouldnt waste my money on any MMO. I had high hopes for Final Fantasy. Turned out to be crap. Not saying KOTOR will.
