Will my $2 cowboy hat still fit? Oh well, I'll just buy me some horse armor for pants.

Since XCom has been turned into an FPS maybe Syndicate will end up as a railshooter.

It would be awesome if you could simply edit them. Doesn't seem to be an available feature though.

Props to all the guys who mixed things up by choosing a different character after winning a fight – makes for a more interesting watch. Special kudos to the Buttonator vs. ChainsawCharlie fight which was particularly entertaining!

I find it very strange a game can win even though only one out of what .. five? four? has played it properly/beyond a quick look. It's the only call I have a hard time taking seriously.

I never quite understood why this game is getting so much attention in the first place. Even with the vertical cover (which looks neat) and the jet pack (which is also neat) it still only looks only alright (obviously bordering on neat), I think. The art style isn't anything special and Tesla doesn't make the game stand out ... really. Maybe this is a bit unfair basing my judgment so early as only a few reviews are out yet. I'm looking forward to reading the tests on the major video game sites and in magazines. I'd be VERY surprised though if this thing get's more then a "sure, I guess it's alright".

It's a funny thing with the HUD. There seems to be a clear trend towards "less HUD". I mean look at all the games that have a regenerating health system that only indicate your health by visual ques - for example the sides of the screen turning red, etc.

There have always been games who tried (partially) without a HUD. Silent Hill didn't have one, right? You just hobbled and dragged your leg behind you. Or am I mistaking the game for another one?

Can anyone think of other old examples of good alternatives to the classic HUD?
