I'm no almost done with the game. Having difficulties with the very first end-game boss flying eye thingy with tentatcles and shield that makes it invincible

The wisdoms I've picked up along the way are:

• spellcasters rock
• hybrid classes are awesome (magic knight is REALLY strong)
• fighting big monsters at night is really a bad idea
• store EVERY excess item you don't need in the storage
• don't just upgrade your equipement but also do the same for that of your pawn
• large mushrooms are easy to find and one of the best items to restore stamina
• not all dragons are weak to ice
• ALWAYS find the weakspot or weakness, makes the fights shorter and gives the monster lesser chance of just flying away

Peacewalker is a really fun game, though I played through pretty much the entirity of it with my brother on PSP. Dunno how it holds up solo. Also the overall feel is very different from the rest of the series.

I really hope The Getaway gets a sequel... we need more characters yelling "c*nt" in our games.

If you haven't played it already play MGS3, easily the best game on the list. Personally I'm going against my better judgement, but if you have backlog don't replay games. That way it keeps getting bigger, trust me...*looks at his own 200+ titles backlog*

For me it was Shoji Meguro ever since I've played Nocturne\Lucifer's Call (tbh I like the EU title more). He makes video game music and that is what I find so endearing about it. He jumps in styles from rock to hip-hop to pop. And from the music it is obvious that he had fun composing it, as someone above already mentioned. The most apparent is this in P3 and P4 soundtracks. In those he just goes nuts with combination of instruments, vocals and styles. Once it is classic then jazz then hip hop and then just straight up pop. And that is why I like his music so much.

Honorable mention for me would be Hitoshi Sakimoto who did amazing soundtrack for Vagrant Story.

Started Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance PC on hard. I love the genre but I'm also really bad at it. So I eased myself into it with playing on normal and now after also finishing both DLCs decided to go for another round on hard. Really cool game, with awesome soundtrack. Though considering my first playthrough I wished the game would have bashed some mechanics over my head constantly to force me to learn them as I didn't feel the need to learn how to parry until the later part of the game.

Evil Dead (2013)

Don't kill me, when I say that I liked it a lot. It's definitely different and takes from the original completely different sets of things than everyone expected but in a way that's what I like about it so much. More focus on the mythos and the Necronomicon itself. I think the intro itself does set the tone really well and the rest of the movie goes along at extremely enjoyable pace. There may have been more practical effects, but then again that just might be the direction the entire industry is going. I didn't expect much but Evil Dead turned out to be a lot of fun to watch.

Heroes of Might and Magic III no doubt. Then it's probably Master of Orion 2. Always been a big strategy game player, never a competetive one though. More recently I've spend quite some time playing Endless Space and Dark Souls.

well.....I'm playing this and it's a lot of fun

Definitely The Swapper and Gunpoint.

And I thought The Cat Lady, but upon checking that was December 2012.
