I brought this up with Jeff a couple of years ago regarding Patrick's work and he said it's something they've thought about but wouldn't likely do anything with until a redesign. But again, that was quite a while ago. It's definitely needed now more than ever with the contributors.
If you ask me, you're only ever going to go so far when your main device for extending gameplay is a roguelike design.. I say that because it takes a whole lot to get me drop money on a roguelike and I usually regret it. Did not take that risk on Galak-Z despite being an old school Macross fan.
This was my issue as well. I was pretty interested in it but once I heard it's a roguelike that interest bottomed out.
I was a bit disappointed with the last SGDQ schedule but this one looks pretty great. I thought Sinister had pretty much retired so I'm glad to see him doing a couple of runs. Bummer about no Super Metroid race, though.
I'd love to see book club become regular, once a month or so. One of the guys mentioned Congo and I love that idea as, like Sphere, there's a bad movie to go along with the book.
I loved Danswers but think it just ran its course and there's not much to talk about now. Seems like they were getting the same questions a lot. Would love to be wrong, though
A board game one could be neat but Austin seems the only one really into them and I wouldn't care to listen to non-GB people talk about them.
Perhaps my favorite would be a Giant Dadcast. Vinnie and Jason with guests Will Smith, Dave snider, and Jeff Green pick up the torch from Tested's dadcasts.
Tie between WoW and FFXIV for me. They're both pretty similar in gameplay but have enough differences that keep them from feeling like the exact same game.
