Yesterday when I entered my first dwemer ruin since Morrowind. The dwemer centurion gave me the chills. It's awesome and the metallic sounds and steam coming from it is great. It butchered me in one hit with steam or ice or something but it couldn't follow me out of the room so I killed it from a distance. Dropped nice loot. The room wasn't huge and I'm hoping for much bigger halls like we saw in Morrowind.

I bought the house in Whiterun. From past experience (oblivion) is it safe to just leave things on the floor or will that get lost? I also upgraded the house all the way..it's quite nice. Can you store an infinite number of things in chests?

I'm all for using all types of magic but I'm not sure I'm willing to spend all my perk points into all three of the destruction trees. I'd rather max out one (I chose fire) and spend points in other trees.

Shit, forgot about encumbrance. Looks like I'll be mixing it up then. Funny story on the side....yesterday I entered Whiterun for the first time. I looked around and got my quests and stole stuff and talked to the jarl and did what I had to do. When I exited the main gate the message popped up with the drumroll sound - "Whiterun discovered". I had jumped over the fence when entering.

I'm playing pure mage dual wielding spells. I've been thinking about leveling a bit of stamina just in case I want to change it up to a warrior style later on. What do you think? Do you level your magic only? I play high elf. Love the magic regen racial...it's pretty neat. I can't decide if I should spend points on all the destruction spells or just one. What's your plan?

Console owners - the game looks great, plays great and the atmosphere is fantastic. Nothing more to it. Magic is awesome and skeletons explode all over the place when you hit them with your sword. It's great! The introduction areas allow you to try out all sorts of weapons probably so you can quickly find out what you enjoy using.
