I've been playing through West of Loathing and The Evil Within 2. I can't say I really like either of them, tbh. West of Loathing starts stretching itself really thin, and Evil Within 2 feels so damn clunky that I can't get into it =(
My parents never really got me any games in general; but, one of the few times they did, it was "Universal Studios Theme Park Adventure" for the Gamecube - which remains one of the worst games I've ever played. Ever.
Was that the one with the fuzzballs/multiple faces/black siblings introduction? If so, I didn't personally have any problems with it; but I could certainly see where it has room for criticism =)
I've been enjoying the campaign (am 4 missions in). I can't deny that it is inspired by the likes of Band of Brothers and Saving Private Ryan; but the whole thing has a level of polish that makes it feel like they really paid attention to the campaign. I'm enjoying it more than the last COD campaigns I've played (BLOPS1 and MW2)
@conantheking: There was a great one about Heavy Rain, and the shower scene in particular - how OP wishes he could play it in VR so he could feel like he was really there.
@hamst3r: I love that series!!! I neglected to put it on MAL (haha, I do a really poor job curating that thing). Ghost in the Shell is a classic that truly stands up - even the older movies ^^
