There is no way you gba doesnt have scratches. Im not talking about the jarring huge prominent scratches. Im talking about the , "look at under a light when its off ,and see all the tiny miniscule scratches". I mean 1 wipe of cloth on a cd or screen and you can easily , see the scratches. Not when its on though.

You seriously dont have any of those tiny scratches either? Thats amazing. Did you like, never touch the screen with anything, including fingers by accident?

Ive had my new Gba sp for almost 2 weeks now. Besides playing and completing yoshis island, i havent played it much. Whenever i finish playing, I put it back in the plastic it came in and back in my gba box.

Im a little paranoid about wrecking my screen, mainly because it would be hard to get a new gba sp at a decent price again, since the gba was never launched by nintendo where i live.(i have an imported version).

Ive looked into getting a screen/scratch guard. But i have to resort to a standard scratch gaurd for the gba. Some unknown 3rd part one. The shopkeeper has told me its specifically for te gba and that i need not worry, but i dont want to end up messing up the screen with a bad screen gaurd.

Should i buy the screen guard? Its around 7-8$ compared to the cheap screen guards that cost 3$,which the shopkeeper recommended not to buy.

Id also like to buy one soon, so i can start taking my gba with me while travelling without getting worried of scratching the screen.

The screen as of now is in nice condition. Ive left it as is, not touched or anything. Some tiny specs of dust do seem to be on the screen, and some negligible tiny scratches, but ive refrained from using any cloth or liquid for wiping it, before i got some advice. I remember scratching up my mgs2 disc by using a tissue near me. Would a t-shirt be ok? That yellow cloth that comes in the box of glasses or sunglasses? Should i breathe on it, damp cloth?

Any specific way to apply the guard so theres no bubbles and stuff?

I apologise for so many questions. Im a tad ocd'ish when i buy new things and would appreciate any help and advice.

ps- where can i get a headphone jack adaptor for my sp at a decent price?

good read. But 3-5 hour game? Seriously? I suppose i if played it now i would be able to complete it fast, but i remember taking a loooong time to complete it my first time around.

Dkc truly is an awesome game. There was one level or world in particualr that was really hard. I think it was the one on the mountains ,where you need to perfectly time jumping over the bees and stuff, with the slightly creepy music.

I love this game and wish i still had my snes with me.:(.   Im getting it for my gba though.

I was considering getting the 3 dkc or atleast the first 2 dkc games for my gba.

I wanted to know how well they play on the gba. I remember getting pretty far in dkc2 and completed dkc1 completely on the snes.  I just want to know if they have alot of slowness( like the kind that happens occassionaly on yoshis island gba).

I asked the shop guy to let me check out the first level on his gba to see how the game plays. From the minute or 2 that i played it, the game felt a bit slow, particulary the movement of the characters. I dunno if it was a problem with his cartridge, his gba or if thats just how the games are on the gba.

i just wanted some clarification from someones whos played the snes and gba versions. Thanks.

Ps- i was thinking of getting a micro, since i found a new one at a decent price. Does the headphone jack use normal headphones, like the kind i use for my walkman. Is the quality with headphones better, cuz the gba sp and micro speaker suck really bad. Its barely audible.

Ive been thinking of getting my hands on a psp for a while now. However im a little confused about which "model no." to get.

Ive been hesitant to buy the psp3000 series ,mainly due to the complaints about the screen and such. Apparently games like burnout look terrible on it.

As for the 2000 series, there seems to several varients. Ive seen 2000,2004 etc. Whats the difference between these models within the 2000 range? Its all very confusing and wiki didnt help me either.

Im conflicted between getting a 2000 series model or the next revision the psp(4000) , or psp2.

There are only a handfull of games im interested in, but im interested in its large screen for watching movies etc on the go.

Any recommendations? What should i do.

Thanks man. I really appreciate the reply. I feel a little relieved now. I never knew the gba would have have frame drops for a snes game.
Il check out the recomendations.  Ive never been able to enjoy rpgs. Is there any rpg for the gba that would would easy and fun to get into?  Its one genre of games i try very often to like but ,just cant get into. Maybe its because i have no clue how to play them. I was considering the ff's or pokemon etc.  Which ones would be better for a rpg super noob?

I just got myself a new graphite black  gba sp +( with the brighter backlight), a couple days back.  Since ive never owned a gameboy or any handheld for that matter, i had some queries.

1. Is the output from the sp's speaker really that low, or is it just my gba? The videos ive seen on youtube that are recorded from a gba have really high quality sound and music. Mine is nowhere as loud or clear as that.

2. The only game i purchased so far is yoshis island. It looks and works great. But sometimes the game becomes slow at random moments for a very short time. Happens alot when there are alot of characters on screen and baby mario gets in the bubble, or when i burst a cloud and stars pop out etc etc.
This is particularly noticeable in level 6-1. Alot of chug or slowness. I dunno if its my gba or my cartridge. Maybe its just how it is, as its only for 2 seconds or so.

I just wanted my mind cleared about whther my piece was defective.

Also- whats the best way to clean the screen? Scatch gaurd? Gba case recomended?

I also wanted to pick up a new micro while they are still available. Recomended?

Do gba games sound and play better on the ds or just the same? Cuz the sound on this gba is too low. Where do i get headfones from?

Thanks jeff and co. for making this awesome place. I may hardly post , but ive probably listened to every podcast, read every news article, feature and seen every video you guys have posted.  I started listening to podcasts for the first time because of the bombcast, which is the only one i like besides lanparty. Because of that i discovered gfw radio ,the greatest podcast ever.( NO offence).

So thanks you guys for this awesome place.

Ps- im still pissed, that i got banned from submitting trivia questions. I thought my questions were funny.
