I agree with the OP; the word enjoyable is more of a fitting term. The word 'fun', to me at least, implies something which just makes you happy (games can do more than just that). Whereas the word 'enjoyable' would indicate that you are finding the game to be a positive experience. There's a subtle difference. Whilst being 'fun' might seem like the primary goal of all games, I would say it's a bit of a loose term. Games can be a whole manner of things besides necessarily just fun: insightful, frightening, relaxing, thought-provoking, funny, exhilarating, addicting, educational, depressing, awe-inspiring etc...
In fact, 'fun' seems to be one of the least appropriate/useful ways to describe games.
