I'm a really forgetful person, and also easily distracted so i tend to leave my Xbox 360 S running for a while. I wanted to set up the auto-off timer to about a thirty minute window, but i was surprised to learn there's no choice other then 6 hours(Not really a choice either). Am i missing something in the settings menu, or is their simply no other option. I remember my ps3 having such a feature, am just surprised a modern electronic device doesn't have auto-off setup. Is there some kind of update reason, it can't be that the system must be on a minimum of six hours at a time?

I only bought an Xbox when the 360 Slim came out, i figured they would of finally solved all the issues. Honestly though it still runs fairly hot for what it is, sometimes i really don't know what M$ is thinking. I can't recall any electronic device that had such a prominent failure rate during launch.

This isn't the same as L.A Noire i believe. The thing about L.A Noire is that its video capture of a real individuals face, this is simply a super high poligon face model made over countless hours, even weeks, which then is controlled by a mo cap guy.  In terms of portraying emotions and connecting with the player L.A Noire is still ahead, as all those expressions in this video have to be gone over by an animator. In that sense L.A Noire is probably much more cost efficient than this technology, as well the voice is the face of that individual. So the tech in this video is better for people like Nolan North, while L.A Noire brings in an entire actors performance.

You also have to remember this is being rendered on a pc with ridiculously high polygons, when you compare L.A noire having multiple faces at a time running on a ps3/ xbox 360 with background.

Texture pop, tearing, clipping is probably the most annoying  thing in video games.

I sweep'd, and over-headed a guy to death in a corner after he pulled a 40%+ kung lao kombo on me. I was so happy, he sent me about 5 hate messages. Its the "uber" guys who rage the hardest if you beat them without giant kombos.

I bought Nier recently at Ebgames for 20$  after watching the the pessimistic QL. I jsut wanted to say that this game is wonderful, in so many aspects. The audio is quite good, with great musical composition, and the art style is simplistic but tasteful somehow matching the musical score in tone. Its a nice blend of jrpg and action adventure game, and the perspective changes are a refreshing welcome to the genre. The dialog system is nicely done as well in regards to where voice and text is applied. The writing is good, and it seems to have popped the cheesy jrpg bubble. Also i am so thankful the main character isn't a woman in a mans clothes, quite the opposite the main character looks fairly battered reflecting well his life style.

Honestly to me it seems somehow, magically someone at Square gave the developers more freedom then they ever had. Oh and i almost forgot about the brilliant UI, its intuitive, quick to use, complicated when needed, and  simple when needed. The game wouldn't even need to pause the action for you to use a health drop,mp drop, or even switching weapons. Don't be fooled though, this is a slower paced game they don't drop you in a strip club for a quicky then move you on to the front line of a galactic war in a matter of seconds. I think that the main reason the QL was so pessimistic is mainly due to the pace, and the SquareEnix printed on the box.

So in tern go buy Nier, its a steal at 20$. Now time to go play some more!
