Portable rhythm gaming perfection. 0

In the past few years, rhythm games have gone through a spectacular boom and a spectacular fall.  The Guitar Hero franchise has gone from having the best-selling third party game in history to selling less than 100K, and Rock Band isn't faring much better.  It's a shame that the fad-like nature of these two series have caused developers to mostly back away from music games altogether, and that is a real shame, because we need more games like Elite Beat Agents in this world.The premise is...

A dash of nostalgia, and a blast of new innovations. 0

If you ask me, Donkey Kong Country is a series in which a new entry has been long overdue.  Often regarded as one of the best series on the Super Nintendo, Donkey Kong as a character has lived on, but retired the Country name for over a decade.  But at last, Nintendo and Retro Studios have made the wise decision to revive the franchise.  No Konga.  No Jungle Beat.  No 64.  Just pure, old-school platforming Country.  And it's great.    A 2D game with multiple planes?  Neat.
