After spending all freaking day on twitter following God knows how many random supposed game journalists/bloggers just to try and get a beta key I came to the realization that Bungie could've easily opened the beta up this weekend.  The reason why I say this is because I'm willing to wager my left testicle that over a couple of hundred codes if not more were given out and these people are killing and teabagging their way Reach.  If Bungie could just hand out these Family and Friend codes like freaking candy at a store why exactly couldn't they open the beta up this weekend?
I get that during the weekend most of Bungie's staff would be at home getting ready for the hell that will be coming next week with the actual release of the beta.  Having to make sure the servers aren't gonna crash like the Halo 3 beta fiasco from a few years back.  But what Bungie is doing is basically going to kill all productivity next week.  Imagine all the gamers that are gonna call in sick or kids that play sick to stay home from school.   I think it's garbage that they in all intent and purposes could open it up tonite and we all could be having some fun.
I'm sure you're saying; "Duderz, you're just pissed you didn't get a key!", and you would be right.  My twitter account wouldn't refresh fast enough and by the time the guy posted the last digits to the XBL code string it was already taken.  And when I looked at the post time I was behind by almost a minute from when he posted.  
Well enough ranting.  I hate trolling forums and posting stuff to incite others.  I've always felt that if you don't have something worthwhile, positive or actually bringing something to the conversation then you shouldn't say anything.  I do think that my point that the beta could've easily been opened up tonite, tomorrow or even Saturday is a legit point and worth bringing up.
Well I guess I'll see all you bombheads on Reach on Monday when or if I can get it downloaded.
