I think it tried looking realistic but "hollywood " was all over it, the end was the most annoying thing ,they tried making the "hero" look cool. half the time watching this movie I was thinking "bullshit..."
how many of you really identified the people in the video as civilians? I know i could not tell, pausing zooming and replaying is a privilege war-fighters don't have.
Hi Emil, Here in Israel you get called at 17 to do some IQ and verbal tests, also a motivation interview. based on these and your health record, the military will decide the many jobs you qualify for. you will be summoned to further interviews and tests for different jobs. jobs are diverse: a driver, a cook, a soldier(all different flavors), a trainer, IT technician , and many more . at the end, you choose from the jobs who's tests you passed. service is a must, unless you have health issues or mental issues. you can also study for a college or university degree at the expense of the military, depending on the degree, you will lengthen your service time from the regular 3 years to 4 or 6 years. regarding you past health condition, I believe that as long as it does not affect your current state, your are fit for service. and National pride is not a way to close other people out, it is a mature emotion that motivates you to be active in your community and help the people that are physically close to you. i believe most of what I described here similar to other countries.
