Games (and things) I'm considering buying with wedding gift money

Because getting married when you're laid off creates an infusion of cash that you wouldn't otherwise find. Plus, the little lady is a fan of games as well, particularly ones wherein we can shoot dudes in co-op, or just sit back and watch an entertaining cinematic experience.

This is mostly to keep track of things for myself, but if discussion is fostered, so be it. Plus, she likes games plenty, but neither of us are stupid enough to waste THIS MUCH of our cash on them.

1. New Super Mario Bros. Wii

Damned if Brad calling back to SMB3 didn't finally put me over the edge in wanting it. It's got Koopa Kids! I was Lemmy for Halloween in grade 3.

2. MAG

Free online shooting of stuff.

3. Red Faction: Guerrilla

I wanna bust stuff up in a giant robot.

4. Halo 3: ODST

A new Halo? Why not. Plenty of co-op. On the flip side though, only 6-8 hours for $70 Canuckistan money? And without Gold to play multiplayer? How's about we just hold off until it's $40 used.

5. The Beatles: Rock Band

The only music game that really interests the both of us. Formerly, DJ Hero was the exception, but I think seeing the final product in action, it's not something I cared to spend $150 on.

6. Alpha Protocol

Gorram delays. This was higher, until it got bumped.

7. Alan Wake

See: Bioshock 2.

8. Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction

The first Tom Clancy game I've cared at all for the look of.

9. The Saboteur

BOUGHT: Running around Paris? Cabaret dance clubs? Blowing up Nazis? Done.

10. Mass Effect 2

BOUGHT: This is way higher on this list if it was out this fall.

11. BioShock 2

BOUGHT: See: Mass Effect 2.

12. Heavy Rain

BOUGHT: This will either be the best video game ever made or a spectacular failure. Either way, I gotta see.

13. Assassin's Creed II

BOUGHT: I was a big fan of the first, and improvements look to have greatly enhanced this sequel.

14. Fat Princess

BOUGHT: I love cake.

15. Brütal Legend

BOUGHT: Already pre-ordered with trade-in credit, but we'll use it as the one to kick everything off. We had to trade off hours of playing Psychonauts in parallel with each other, until she got fed up with Meat Circus and made me beat the whole thing.
