Games I Need to Fucking Finish Already

We all do it.

Buy a game, excited to see what it has to offer. Bury ourselves in the first hours, having a great time, admiring the story, the new and interesting mechanics, or sometimes even just the nostalgic place in our brains that a game managed to tweak.

Then you have to go back to work on Monday. Your wife (or girlfriend, or boyfriend, or hell, Mom) needs you to head out somewhere on Tuesday night, then there's a basketball game on Wednesday. Friday, you're heading to a movie, or to the bar. Saturday, you head out of town to go golfing or get caught up in cleaning or yardwork.

Or, most insidiously, that new game you've been excited for since three E3s ago finally hits shelves, and that last big thing falls by the wayside.

This is a role call for all of the neglected software sitting around my game shelves right now, or piled next to the TV, deliberately placed in my line of sight to make me feel sorry for it and pop it back in.

I'll finish all of these. Someday.

You should definitively play RE4. It's easily one of the best games in this list.

Darksidders has a fantastic ending you should really see it through it's slow but the later beats are fantastic!

A long list, I'd provide personal input but you should really try to play as many of those as possible and give up on the ones that don't live up to your expectations/"the hype." (Like Okami.)

RE4 is the best game on that list.

Or fallout 3. You NEED to play point lookout. But ignoring mothership zeta is probably a good move.

Just go about it in a logical order. Finish whatever will take you the least amount of time to finish. pick a game and stick with it.

Beginning of the year my list was bigger than this but now I'm down to maybe 8 games.

This is a respectable list, think mine might be slightly longer though! :D (e-penis joke not intentional)

This. Zeta was good but...eh. Wouldn't play again.

I was reading this entire list thinking "Jesus this made me realise how many games I haven't finished/started and wasted money on".
I think it's a good idea many people make these lists so that we remember to actually finish our games. The list would take me forever though...
and I probably wouldn't even finished writing it.

Sadbuttrue.

@MariachiMacabre: This is good to hear. I am actually mostly done Point Lookout (past the brain part), just stalling by trying to farm some achievements out of it, if I recall correctly. In actuality I'm probably about 20 minutes from being able to head back to the Capital.

You have a long list of some really great games on there. Reminds me of my backlog that I need to work on.  If I were you I would just knock off the ones that your wife has played through and completed unless some of those games are some you are just dying to play.   That way you could at least justify your purchase seeing as she beat some of them.

Also, go back and finish the DLC on Mass Effect 2. Those are great DLC and not that lengthy either.
