Judging by the comments it's good I skipped this one. They all live (maybe not Dan, he doesn't seem to get political, which is why I like him more than some of the rest) in a echo chamber. And when they do speak out, they're speaking out of that same chamber. They come off self-righteous and pandering. Naturally this is going to be an unpopular opinion here because it is part of their echo chamber.
@babychoochoo: I can agree with the camera angle point. But that is separate from the character. It's not some 4th wall breaking game so I don't think it takes away from Bayonetta as a strong female lead.
How is Bayonetta not a strong female character? She's strong, she owns her sexuality, and takes no crap from no one. And she shows that she cares about others. And about her not earning her strength. Don't the witches practice for hundreds of years to learn to control the demons? I doubt Abby has played the games and just coming to a snap judgement based on screenshots. And in my opinion, based on lack of replies from the rest of the room, they disagreed with her but didn't call her out on it. It isn't the first time she's made comments like this. I think it's shitty that Dan constantly gets called out but Abby gets a pass.
Sure, Dan staying ignorant on Walmart wasn't the smartest thing to say. But I'm sure most of us need /want to find a way to stretch out a buck. And I think some of you are giving him too much shit over it. I mean how many of you are going out of your way to buy "sweatshop free" clothes. How is Dan's willful ignorance so he can continue shopping at Walmart any worse than you buying clothes that most likely came from a sweatshop?
Really like the presentation and look of this game. The gameplay isn't quite grabbing me. Right now it's simply "pass to Rukey, sprint to pyre". But they said it gets more complex so I keep plugging along.
Regarding Abby's comments on Wonder woman. I haven't seen the movie so correct me if I'm wrong. But didn't she spend her entire life secluded on an island detached from the rest of the world? So wouldn't it make sense for anyone to be naive?
