For myself I think it would be Metorid on the NES. I just remember that feeling of "Where the hell do i go". I'm going to download it off the VC later on

Can't really pick one, for me it's tied between Uncharted series, Demon's soul or maybe Heavy Rain.

The HD-collection is Konami's way of shitting in the face of old fans. They removed the grittiness and fog from the visuals-a vital component to the atmosphere of the games- and replaced it with rustproof sheetmetal and invisible cleaningladies.

They also changed the VA, which ruins the games even more.

Avoid it at all costs. You're better off playing the PC versions of 2 and 3.

If you're absolutely sure you want the HD-collection, do avoid the PS3-version. I heard some nasty things about the performance in that one.

To be honest I've brought the collection on Thursday and from what I've played of SH2 I'm enjoying it. The new voice acting on SH2 is piss poor tho, it's miles better having the original VA on.

I'm not to sure about SH3, Its been forever since I played it so I'm not too sure if they have replaced that as well. Also no massive nasty bugs or glitches on my PS3 copy either.

@Hizang: The HD Collection. This is kinda nice in a throwback nostalgic way, but the originals are simply superb. Please get the HD collections, not this. If you've got a PS3, it's definitely worth picking up Silent Hill (the first one) from the Playstation store. If you're a Plus subscriber, it's free next week (or the week after, I can't remember).

basically what Bibamatt said, however they do not have Silent Hill 4: The room on the disk which a bit of a shame.

However I've been doing whatever I can to keep away from anything major spoilers, however from looking at the Quick Look which Ryan and Patrick did I'm more tempted to get this now, just to see how it plays out.

I when to the game station near me and got five games for £19.50. If there is still the sale on next week I am heading there and picking up a few more games. While it's crappy that people are going to lose their jobs getting Fallout 3 for £1.98 is amazing.

This reminds me of what happen in the UK when Stephan Lepark was murdered and his mother when on the "Lets ban Manhunt" witchhunt which lead to HMV, Virgin, Game, Gamestation and other retailers banning selling it. The fact that the game was actually Stephan's game and not the killers was quickly overlooked by the Fail and his mother.

The simple thing is everyone needs a villain and a scape goat so the media in the desire to create a media fear factor will look towards what ever is the popluar form of entertainment at the moment. In the 1970's it was movies, 1980-2000 music and 1994 onwards video games. As a good example the Sun run by Slimecorp has on the front page "person killed by Xbox" as there headline blaming a young 20 years death by DVT on Xbox.

Not surprising however for games Like Uncharted losing the online mode isn't that much of a pain (Always felt the MP was tacked on) however if there is games which have a good MP mode people will probably just wait until a price drop and then pick it up then.

It's not hard to do and also it gives people a chance to see if there is an active community for the game and what people are saying in user reviews.
