My name is Greg and I'm a 19 year old from California.  I currently attend UC Santa Barbara.

My favorite genres are shooter, RPGs, and sports.  I play most games on the PC, but also own an Xbox 360 which I use mostly for sports games and console-exclusives.

I didn't seriously start playing video games until around 2001, when the game Operation Flashpoint was released.  I had played sports games like NFL Gameday 98 on the original Playstation, but it was always with friends.  OFP drew me in like nothing ever had and I played it for a solid 6 years.  I was an active member of the community and learned a lot from it.  There has been no other game for me like OFP, though apparently many people share this with me (first game being their favorite of all time).

I then began branching out to other games like Half Life, Civilization, The Sims, among others.  That's about it.
