Quake 1 Shareware blew me away when I connected online using dial up and got my first frag. That was THE FUTURE for me.

I'm a non smoker but I really can't remember anyone smoking in Avatar so it's such a non issue for me. I never notice whether people smoke or not in movies nor do I care. Plus, I only smoke weed while playing Modern Warfare 2...

My sister just returned from UAE and gave me her UK Slim 120gig PS3. I know most, if not all, ps3 games are region free but I wont be able to play region 1 blu rays on it so I was excited to take it off her hands. I also know that HDMI is pretty much universal so PAL/NTSC signals on my TV wont be an issue. 
 
However, it seems like only the US and JAP PS3s have universal PSUs and the UK unit is locked at 210-240v...what a bummer. I ordered a 500watt step up converter but it's in the mail. As I eagerly await, hoping that this will get the console running, I'd like to see if anyone here has gotten an UK system working in North America.

I thought the game sucked when I first started playing it but the more I give it a shot the more I like it. Now I love it and I never played COD4. Maybe that's why...
