To be honest Mcelroy always seemed to me nothing more than a scrofulous clown, so a documentary featuring him, the rebel fm dregs ( of the 1up dregs ) and the hardest working hairstyle in "games journalism" seems somewhat extraneous.
I wish them all the attention and success they deserve.
edit. also I make these things for a living, we call them corporate videos, a documentary is about a subject, not a self promoting corporate tool.
I have made a film, It was a documentary about the death of Irish culture under the weight of its own mercurial drunken stereotypes ( it won best international documentary at the atlanta docu-fest which was nice). I have just recieved funding to make another film about the corrosive effect of religious belief on otherwise moral people.
I've eaten all sorts of crazy shit, insects, spiders, dogfood, but the most revolting thing I have ever put in my mouth was some drunken whitecastle. I'm not being ironic or overstating for dramatic effect. A mouthful of that mushy ketchup leaden mess was the worst. I feel queasy just thinking about it. I'm vegetarian now by the way.
