The only games I can think of that would be cool as films are STALKER and The Witcher, and that's only if I agree with the director of the film.

In America, if you have money you may as well be above the law.

Probably SupCom and it's expansion, mainly because you need to put a lot of effort into making it efficient, which makes it really satisfying when you destroy your enemies base, because you know how much effort they put into it.

" As far as I am aware, the best base building RTS would have to be either Total Annihilation or Supreme Commander (or SC: Forged Alliance for that matter). Not so much Supreme Commander 2 though, they simplified things maybe a bit too much if building bases is your thing.  These are the best games for it for a relatively simple reason: they are the only games that I am aware of that allow you to build a base with artillery cannons that can basically fire all the way across the map, surround your base with shorter ranged, but still potent artillery guns and point defenses, crank out nukes and strategic missile defenses, shield generators (though those aren't in TA, that game is too old), and just generally create a massive industrial complex capable of bringing an opponent to its knees without having to leave the comfort of your defensive lines (though it is also fun to produce hundreds of air units to throw at opponents). I'm telling you, you can get Supreme commander from amazon for like 8 dollars, or you could get a digital copy of TA from impulse for like 10. I firmly believe that either of these would satisfy that particular itch better than just about anything else, speaking as a person who enjoys base building a whole lot as well. Though I will warn you, if you go for TA, it is pretty clunky nowadays, seeing as how it was released before Starcraft, or at least around there. Either way, its gameplay hasn't held up nearly as well as that. But as the foundation of Supreme Commander, I find it fun to see just how similar they are. "

I forgot about those huge artillery canons, those things were badass, there range could span the whole map, also in SupCom the placement of buildings and was really important, you couldn't just place things anywhere.

My copy of SC2 is just sitting next to me, waiting to be installed. The thing is I'm waiting on a new hard drive, and when I get it I'm going to re-install windows, so I can't be fucked installing SC2 now only to re-install it later. Hopefully the new HDD comes tomorrow.

I just bought the game and haven't had time to play it yet, but so far one thing I do hate is the fact I paid $130NZ for the game it it doesn't even come with a proper plastic case, or a decent manual.
