My dad came home with Chrono Cross, and for months I tried to wrap my head around the story. I was young when this game came out, so I really had no ability to parse though what the fuck was going on; until one winter afternoon, while eating a grilled-cheese sandwich on Challah, it all came together. I fell in love with this game HARD.

This one oozes with nostalgia (the original Silver, that is). I woke up at 6 in the morning to level up/evolve my Eevee into Umbreon with a high happiness rating (thank you nighttime hairdressers!). I didn't set my clock to the correct time when I started playing so virtual night was at really odd hours of the day for me. I was determined to get an Umbreon: fuck the simple life, I play for keeps.

Although ME1 had serious fidelity issues, I thought it did the best job as an "RPG" in the series. Item management was a pain, but I worked through it for an amazing payoff. Sheppard.
