I know my top ten games without thinking twice. Final Fantasy VI, Metroid Prime, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Castlevania: SOTN, Final Fantasy Tactics, Crystalis, Smash Bros Melee, Gears of War, Chrono Trigger, and LoZ: Wind Waker. This list is for games that might toss some of those games out...maybe.
I have things in my fridge older than this game. How the hell do I tell if it's as amazing as I think it is? Get back to me in 2013. Bayonetta's the inspiration for this list.
I don't think I've enjoyed an RPG this much since the first time I played Suikoden II.
I've already put 5 days into the multiplayer, threatening to eclipse my 9 hours in MW1 over 2 years in a mere 4 months. Can a game so plagued by cheats and cheese be truly great?
I remember being so amazingly spellbound by this game, but it is also the first *proper, not Sunshine* Mario game that I haven't completed twice.
I don't know what happened. I know it was awesome. But I don't know.
I guess sometime I have to sit down with Super Metroid, Shadow Complex, and SOTN, blindfold myself, and see which game I sniff my way over to first. Kinda weird but how else do you decide?
I'm still trying to work out the finer points in the story a month after first completion. A game's story hasn't stuck in my head like that, ever. It's similar to my response to Donny Darko. Except I loved it instead of kind of hating it. And buy the damn Wii version.
I don't know if this should count, as it is an MMO and my reason for liking it is more about the people (or maybe just one person) that I found therein.
I hate PC games. I love this PC game. How? I am big into archery, and this game has one of the best representations of archery ever. The rest of the game being pretty great, aside from the lack of narrative, is icing on the cake.
I couldn't really love a GTA-style game this much, could I? It's gotta just be the co-op, yeah? Hmm.
