  • Bluepixie reviewed Darwinia

A beautiful game with a wonderfully quirky soul: I’ve been playing computer games since I was six. I don’t know how many games I have played. More than I can remember anyway, but I’ve never played anything like Darwinia. From the eye-catching box and amusing manual to the 60Mb install (really!) everything about Darwinia intrigues. What kind of game is it you ask? I’ll tell you. This game is fun. Remember that? When games were fun? Not just ...

  • Bluepixie reviewed Strife

Truly overlooked action/RPG classic.: Strife may be getting on a bit these days, it’s over 10 years old, and in many ways is very dated. Don’t let this put you off though, this underdog is still very much worth playing. The story for Strife is nothing incredible mostly reminiscent of a B-movie sci-fi flick. However, the presentation is top notch throughout with a voice over and well coloured, stylish graphic novel type stills explaining ...

  • A gorgeous haemorrhage of colours and fantastic 2D animation: I’m sure some of you will scream at me for this, but this is my first venture into the world of Bleach. Don’t start, come on, I know my anime. It’s just one of these shows that has just never appealed to me, along with Naruto, Dragon Ball Z and Samurai X and other fighting heavy shows. It’s the incessantly thin excuses for slow-mo charges, super charged fireballs and over ...

  • Just finished my latest reviewing assignment, Bleach: Dark Souls. Review will be up on GiantBomb soon but for now skip over to my local stomping ground Pause Gaming or check out Console Obsession. Needless to say, it's been the best game I've been given to work on for sometime, I'm actually going to keep this one for once!

My game collection has been successfully added. Man, that took awhile and from the looks of things, I've still got a fair bit of work to do. Many of the titles in my collection don't have much in terms of information, screenshots etc. Looks like I have a summer project to keep me from my PhD! Just to make this first entry a little more interesting than "I have lists!" here are some pictures of parts of my collection. Might add some more later for completeness.

Immersive, atmospheric and vastly unappreciated. (PC)
I loved the film and book and after countless despicable game tie-ins, particularly during the 16-bit era, I'd lost all hope for there ever being a opportunity to explore a island infested with dinosaurs. Lucky for me, the team at DreamWorks Interactive had the same idea, a 1st-person, exciting, realistic ...

According to me 360voice blog...my Xbox thinks AC2 "wasn't as cool as I thought it would be." - Where does it come up with this nonsense?
