Since biting the bullet on PS Plus about a year ago I have been delighted at the quality and frequency of AAA games that have come to the Instant game collection (especially here in the E.U).

I just wonder that because of the relatively later launch of the service into the PS3's life-cycle, and the big back catalogue Sony had to play with then, whether the lack of titles in the PS4's launch year that they could realistically get on the service will seem a bit sparse in comparison.

Sony have surprised me a couple of times with how quickly titles end up there, but I'm definitely expecting more of a smaller indie focused slant to the free games and maybe more extended demo-like offerings like the Driveclub PS plus edition in the early days of the service.

Still, I'm sure I'll get my moneys worth if it's half as good as before.

Thanks @rorie There's really no saying how stuff like this can affect everyone and we all just want you guys to come to terms with it in your own time.

When it gets to the point any of you fancy doing some dumb stuff loosely attributed to videogame coverage we'll all be here, until then there's the thousands of hours of amazing content that you guys have already given us.

Can't actually comprehend this.

Giant Bomb will never be the same. Deepest condolences to all those closest to him. That motherfucker made me smile on a daily basis and thats a great gift gone from the world.

That may be the greatest single image my eyes have ever processed.

Wow. I can't believe none of this got out beforehand, you are all such sneaky bastards.

Dave, you will be seriously missed but who know's, maybe we'll get more of Snide being allowed to just goof off and hang out with all the guys when he drops by. (which will hopefully be so ridiculously frequently it feels like he never left)

But holy shit, Matt Rorie is back and that is seriously amazing and the only thing that makes any of this not feel awful.

Blasphemy! Blasphemy I say. Smite this teller of false truths.

First thing I do is check the length and anything under 3 hours is a disappointment these days.

I've noticed a couple of these issues using my Ipad 3. Can usually get videos to play, although with more delay than normal and some text boxes and header buttons seem to be unresponsive when I've clicked on them or only offer the drop down menu instead of allowing me to click through.

In theory I can understand the argument for always on and privacy prevention tying games to a profile and I know the PC crowd has learned to accept because of the other benefits in pricing etc that can be found. I think that is mainly because it's already largely progressed to a digital ecosystem. How many PC gamers are walking in to buy boxed copies?

I just know that the first time my internet died or a game failed to recognise my authorisation and I had a brand new purchased copy of a game sitting there unplayable I would forget all those arguments and be losing my shit.

And yes I'd calm down and get over it, but for that moment something that used to be the best thing about console gaming i.e. putting a brand new game in my console has been turned into something incredibly frustrating.

Also has someone who has been swapping games with friends since my I loaned out my master system copy of Shinobi in exchange for Bonanza Bros I think I would miss that too.
