Another lost season for the OKC Thunder with both Ibaka and Durant being out indefinitely with the playoffs loomings. The Thunder are just a mishap of misfortune since they made the NBA Finals. If I remember correctly wasn't it like:

2012-13: Harden is traded away. Westbrook collides with Beverly and is out for the rest of the playoffs.

2013-2014: Ibaka gets injured.

2014-2015: Durant and Ibaka are injured.

Durant's last year in OKC next year until he hits free agency.

What are the Nuggets doing they're suppose to be tanking! You don't just go out there and beat the best team in the EAST!

@entreri10: I actually like the tanking methodology the Knicks are taking this year even though this is something usually frowned upon in the NBA. They secured their all-star in Carmelo to a long term contract, while me myself am not a huge fan of Carmelo (too much of an iso player, not a two way defender) he is there primarily to attract other marque players to Manhattan. They also free up a bunch of dead money going forward and picked up a few 1st round picks along the way to hopefully build this team up in the future. Jury is still out on not only if the Knicks can run the triangle offense through Carmelo Anthony but if Derek Fisher is a viable coach to teach the triangle offense to this team. One thing that Phil Jackson had when he coached the Bulls and Lakers this system was essentially the father of the triangle offense, Tex Winter as his assistant for many, many years on the bench.

I also can't blame Knicks having a short leash after spending the past 2-3 years as potential contenders. In all truth of the matter though the team through those years of Linsanity, trading for Carmelo, sigining Amar'e, Felton's gun charge, and J.R Smith Zanniness all of that was well and good but that team had too much dysfunction to ever truly contend with the elite of the elite teams. It's kinda weird saying that today since before that you had the Isiah Thomas era of bad signings and trades. Let me just say this I have more faith in the direction the Knicks are going this year than I ever did when Isiah was running the show.
