@Incapability: I've been playing Hitman since Hitman 2, and I've always thought they've been better and better, with Blood Money being the best, and I thought that when it was released. Every fanbase will have people that complain sequels are not like the previous games. I am kind of skeptical on this game though. I really hope it turns out great because IO is one of my favorite developers. Watching videos of Absolution makes it look quite linear. Linear games are fine, but what made the previous Hitman games so much fun was they dropped you in this open world and said "have at it." I'm sure this game will turn out fine, but I'm going to wait and see what some other people say before throwing money at it.
Yes, absolutely. I made the switch in FIFA 11. It is totally worth it. When you have absolute control over where the passes are going, you can make some ridiculously awesome passes. Sometimes it can be a bit frustrating, but it can be like that in the real game, which makes FIFA even better. Also, if you do manual shooting, you can score some ridiculously wicked goals.
If you just want to judge the port turn off physx and dx11 and the game is flawless.
The game does look incredible. But it still runs terribly on my machine even with DX11 off. The main problem with me is the framerate is terrible. Even when I turned down the detail to just High instead of Very High, it runs terribly.
This is really frustrating. I don't have the best rig in the world, but it handles every game I throw at it really well. I have a Core i7-920, 12 GB of RAM, and a GTX460. Even with DX11 turned off, the performance is awful. Whenever I'm flying around the city, the game will just freeze for a few seconds, I'm guessing for it to load or something. I hope a massive patch comes out within the next week that fixes a lot of performance issues.
