"Iwata specifically pointed out titles like Animal Crossing, Nintendogs, and Tomodachi Collection as the kinds of games that inspire "daily communication," and thus would be good to have stored on the system, as opposed to only being accessible via a cart."
Seems stupid to state the obvious, but that is a pretty good indication that Nintendo might not fuck up this online thing after all.
The Wii U cost rumors shouldn't surprise anyone. They did the exact same thing with the Wii and "better" technology comparable to the 360/PS3, capable of pushing native 720p ish graphics is so dirt cheap now. Not an indicator of how powerful or competitive the Wii U will be with horsepower, just a sign of the times.
Great write up! I've been an avid LoL player for the last 2 years and I simply don't have much desire to make the plunge into DOTA 2. While I'm sure it will be a fantastic game, it feels like there's so much left to do in LoL and it hasn't grown stale. Good to read this review and confirm a few of the things I was on the fence about.
@spiralcut: Complete voice of reason. Haven't heard many comments regarding the fact that the ENTIRE thing was sold by its owner, this isn't a decision that the GiantBomb folks had any say in. Your boss wants to sell the company, you can either put on a happy face and make the best of the situation or lose your job, simple as that. Kudos to them for seeing it through and now we still get GiantBomb goodness.
The only thing I'm confused on is the Whiskey Media name as a whole. Will this no longer exist? Moving forward will I only be paying for premium membership for GiantBomb and Comic Vine?
I'm sure I'm not the only one who couldn't give two flying f***** about GameSpot premium service, is there anything else in it for us if we stick around to support the Whiskey Media sites?
