PAX East 2012 is fast approaching, which means that I am brewing up a storm over here in preparation for some less-than-legal beer distribution during the show. This year's PAX will see two different beers from me. The first is Good Luck, Hefe Batman, a fairly traditional German style hefeweizen. Originally I was planning a double IPA, but I couldn't get a hold of the hop varieties I was looking for and decided against it. The second, The Chat Dragon's Eldritch Dark Ale, is a Cascadian dark ale (otherwise known as a black IPA). This brew is very hoppy, with tons of hop flavor and aroma and a gorgeous dark color. Think the color of a porter or stout but with the punch of a double IPA.

These beers will be available in very limited quantities and are first come, first serve to my PM box. If you want to try one of these beers, send me a PM and we will try to meet up at the show for a somewhat-shady exchange. Let me know which beer you'd like to try and I will do my best to accommodate. I will also be at the pre-PAX Rock Band night at the Brattle with beers in tow, but don't count on me to get you drunk. Samplers only there, people!

If you are on my list and we are able to meet up for the exchange, I WILL check your I.D. You must be 21 (even if you're from somewhere other than the US where you have a lower drinking age).

Finally, as a note - there are NO guarantees that you will get to try this beer. I'm not supposed to have it, but I will try to sneak it in as best as I can. I was fine last year, but who knows what will happen this year. See you all soon!
