I think the show, even though it's well past its prime, has really found its stride again in the last few seasons. The concepts can be repetitious (the opening with Duff Man was very similar to another episode) but I get a lot of LOL moments that I hadn't had in other later seasons. As far as it being edgier, having watched every episode since they've premiered, the show has always gotten edgier and is just keeping with the times.
I was kinda in the same boat early on. Try lowering the difficulty a bit in the menus. Helped me enjoy and experience the game the first time I played it. And hey if not, It's no big deal, plenty of other awesome games to play.
So the deal of the week on XBL is Zombie Apocalypse for 400 Microsoft Points. I currently have 390 Microsoft Points. Shoot me in the fucking head please. Any news of the 400 point purchasing system coming to Canada? I know it recently hit the States and I'm wondering if any of you have found it better.
Star Ocean: The Last Hope, Half Life 2, Dead Rising. Couldn't get interested in the first two and Dead Rising's save system put me right off the game. I'm still promising myself I'll finish it though. Also FF12 sucked and I sold it after about 20 hours of craptastic game play.
Uhhh I only have a few full games S-ranked. I'll probably say Modern Warfare 2 because Veteran Single Player was tough and Star 69 also was very hard at spots. I'm thinking of Mass Effect 2 now because all I have left is an insanity play through. I think I'll play as an infiltrator. I hear that is one of the easier classes to do it with. I tried Gears of War 2 but it takes forever to level up in Multiplayer and it got pretty boring after a while.
I agree with you that I'd rather play a version of a game with achievements for my 360. I had achievements for Dragon Age on PC but it sucked because they were through EA. I don't think they've made me play a game I didn't want to play, but I've definitely avoided some PC versions to get 360 achievements (Dragon Age was supposed to be much better on PC). On the contrary though, I think they add a lot of fun to my gaming because it makes me try different game modes/difficulties which I didn't usually try without achievements. I probably wouldn't have gone through MW2 or Batman AA on the highest difficulties if it wasn't for achievements.
