Remarkable synthesis of deep gameplay and captivating narrative. 0

The gameplay is vastly improved from previous games in the series, particularly the camera positioning, the control of Snake's movement and actions, which are more intuitive and tight, and the camouflage, because he now wears the OctoCamo (a suit that changes its camouflage pattern automatically when he leans against a certain surface). This allows the player to spend less time and attention on figuring out which button to press or where are the enemies and more on figuring out the best s...

The best version of the best Puzzle game in years! 0

World of Goo is an innovative and charming Puzzle game, where almost every single level is exhilarating. The controls may be simple but are also tight and responsive enough, and the physics-based gameplay is far from shallow. Although sometimes it's not easy to select the goo ball you want. The only significant control improvement I think the game needed, particularly when you want to build a tall and/or large structure, was the possibility to move the camera with the joystick on the Nunchuk. ...

Great mixture of two genres, prime visuals and effective sound. 0

Uncharted's gameplay is a great combination of Tomb Raider inspired platforming and puzzle solving sections and Gears of War inspired 3rd-person shooter sections where you combat human enemies. But the platforming and puzzle sections are too linear, lack innovation and don't provide any significant challenge for the eye-finger coordination or any stimulation for creative thinking. On the shooter sections, the cover mechanic is useful to avoid enemy fire, but also too stiff, particularly in tig...

Fun and believable historic action adventure 1000yrs in the past. 0

The gameplay is a great and elegant combination of platforming, stealth and combat. The stealth is probably the least exciting of the three. When being watched by the guards you just have to walk slowly to not draw attention until you break the line of sight. At the beginning it can be fun to pass near the guards without alarming them, but soon becomes boring and ends up hurting the pace of the game. Climbing buildings and jumping from one place to another is consistently fun and intuitive. E...

The best Puzzle Platformer since the release of Wario Land 3. 0

The 2D gameplay may seem simple and familiar at first, but Braid has more depth and innovation than most full-priced 3D games on the market. Clever level designs, with brain-teasing puzzles that take advantage of its terrific gameplay mechanics, is what makes the game shine and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the best Puzzle Platformers ever created. A bit more variety in level designs wouldn't hurt and nowhere in the game does it mention that you can jump using the Z-key instead of the space-...

THIS REVIEW IS DESTINED TO THOSE WHO, LIKE MYSELF, DIDN'T PLAY ANY NINJA GAIDEN GAME BEFOREThe gameplay is extremely well-designed and the control over Ryu is seamless, particularly when fighting enemies. There's no clunky lock-on system here, instead, when you press one of the two attack buttons, Ryu automatically hits the enemy closest to him and when you press the projectile button, he throws it at the nearest enemy in front of him with the accuracy of a true ninja – and all works perfectly, ...

By far the best racing game on the Wii. 0

HE GOOD: Small changes and refinements make the gameplay more accessible for casual players while keeping it deep enough to satisfy hardcore gamers; Playing with the Wii Wheel is fun and helps you get more immersed in the game, but only after you get pass the not very small learning curve; The trick system and the bikes are both welcome additions that bring some much needed novelty to the gameplay; The A.I. is a bit more aggressive than it was in Double Dash; Lighting is vastly improved; ...

Finest version of the finest Horror Action Adventure of all time. 0

THIS REVIEW ONLY MENTIONS THE KEY DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE Wii VERSION AND PREVIOUS ONES.THE GOOD:Elegant and intuitive Wii controls makes it exciting again to play this Modern-Classic; The controls were not streamlined (like making it possible to shoot while walking), maintaining the game hard and adventurous; Same fantastic graphics of the the Gamecube version, with an excellent artistic design that makes it age at a slower pace than most games - one of the best looking games on the system; ...

The best 3D Platformer ever created. 0

THE GOOD: The controls are smooth, extremely responsive and feel right once you get used to them; Plenty of gameplay variety with the right amount of very well implemented fresh ideas and the right amount of familiar platforming gameplay - all refined almost to perfection; Simple and intuitive use of the Wii remote that makes the experience more engrossing than it would have been with a regular controller; Some of the best and more diverse level designs of any 3D platformer, that are able to ...

Very short but fun and innovative puzzle game. 0

THE GOOD: Accurate FPS controls; A groundbreaking and exciting new gameplay mechanic, the portal-gun; Innovative puzzles that use very well the portal-gun and the game's impressive physics engine; Effective sound effects and art design; Great new character, named GLaDOS, with some genuinely funny speech lines and a terrific voice acting; One of the best "End Credits" song ever made for a game. THE BAD: Half the content you should get for 20$; Most puzzles are very easy; The bonus levels...

Probably the best Fantasy Action Adventure on the system. 0

THE GOOD: Controls are as responsive as ever; The combat system, although similar to the previous game, is still very satisfying and has some new moves and weapons that, if you learn to use them correctly, can keep it fresh enough; Greater number of different bosses than in the previous God of War, all of them fun and challenging to beat; Like in the previous game, you battle with numerous enemies, sometimes while trying to avoid or overcome some deadly obstacles and traps - providing a great...

The best minigame collection on the Wii. 0

THE GOOD: Inventive and fun use of the Wii remote; Funny and replayable levels with fast pacing and random micro-games; The game looks fantastic, with crazy and diverse visual styles and colorful and charming cartoon animations; The music matches the pacing of the game very well; Clever use of the wiimote speaker and rumble for certain sounds and actions; More than 200 micro-games with great variety; Both, the cartoon animations and the micro-games, have a good humor, making you smile whil...

Simple and intuitive fun with a good lasting appeal. 0

THE GOOD:Simple and intuitive controls makes it fun to play for almost anyone; Easy to understand simplified sports concepts; Daily fitness and medals add a good value; Fun multiplayer that can be played up to four people; Clean presentation is easy on the eyes; Great sound effects coming for the wiimote speaker; The game is "free" in North America and Europe. THE BAD: Simplified gameplay makes it less replayable, because it lacks depth; Motion-sensing controls sometimes don't work very...
