Wow. That...

I'm torn, because I love Shogun 2. But I also think this is an unfortunately ill-informed and crass thing to say about a serious situation.

@truthtellah: It is extremely ill-informed. In Shogun 2, no matter what you do before the realm divide, people with the opposite political views from you will ultimately become your enemy again and you will have to destroy them. In that game, diplomacy is a temporary solution to be used when you need some extra time to build up your economy and military so when the time comes, you can deliver the knockout blow.

I don't recall my enemies ever using chemicals to kill children in shogun 2...

heh. That's often the case in real life as well. Diplomacy can sometimes help give you more time to get stronger action and turn the tide.

Thank god everything in real life is as easy and clear cut as video games right? I am not a fan of Obama and never have been but fuck. Make your criticism make sense and have a shred of merit at least. Lazy criticism makes everyone else who criticizes look bad.
