This podcast is my official successor to 1UP's legendary poolside E3 podcast from 2006 they/Ziff hosted in their hotel at the Figueroa pool..

The whole show was fired up and you got the genuine sense that these people like each other and love their videogames. It was inspired and full of funny moments. The first hour blows me away like it used to be in the old days, or occasionally with the Giantbomb-Crew 5-10x per podcast. But this one was - like the drunk japan one - special.

Poor Leigh Alexander had the 'Luke Smith'-awesome buff throughout her appearance. I hope the boost in sweaty nerds followers on Twitter will make not a lasting bad impression on her. Of course, she is well known inside the 'videogame-journalism' circle and game-business. As the news director for Gamasutra she writes for a long time and I have occasionally read her stuff on Gamasutra probably for years, without paying much attention to her. I don't read her private blog or follow her on twitter.

She was a great addition to the podcast, not only talking very eloquently and analytically sharp about the business part of your beloved videogames, but also being funny and passionate. Thank god, this was just an audio-podcast. She is way too cute for her own good, which attracts too many wrong 'bad people'. Jeff would probably call them 'weirdos'.

I love the blunt talk, the 'take no prisoners' approach and all guests played along and loved the no-bullshit talk.

I really hope this E3 and the NEVER video on YouTube will boost Giantbomb up the ranking-lists and attract a lot of new users. These guys worked their asses off for us at this years E3. Just compare the GS-crew battalions vs 4+2 guys (yes Drew+Dave, I got you covered) They all deserve our love and respect.
