Tried it with the Star Citizen hangar alpha and Saint's Row IV and I'm very impressed with the quality of the capture. In Star Citizen I noticed my framerate dropped a few digits while in Saint's Row IV the video capture had no perceptible impact on the game's performance.

I used to buy cheap earbuds that broke all the time too, but when I went to Japan I saw a pair of Audio-Technica ATH-CKM77 on sale for about $80.00 and decided to splurge. Yes the difference in sound quality is significant and they're much more comfortable and durable to boot since I've been using them for 2 and a half years and they show no sign of crapping out any time soon. They don't sound better than similarly priced over the ear headphones, but I'd never be able to go jogging wearing those.

If you're only listening to streaming audio over a 3G connection or MP3s with low bitrates you won't notice much difference, but if the audio source is great the difference between a good pair of earbuds and a bad one will be pretty obvious.

I hope they polish the dogfighting module to a mirror sheen before releasing it as I imagine a lot of people will make hasty judgement on the entire game's quality based on it (Even though it'll be an early alpha that represents just one of the many activities the final game will offer).

I can buy a Xbox One and a Geforce GTX 770 in any store in Brazil for less than what a PS4 would cost me.

Taxes here are utterly ridiculous, but they aren't high enough to justify this price.

The news just gutted me. Since he was the de facto host of every Giant Bomb show he pretty much became the site's "face" for me and thanks to the bombcast not a week went by where I didn't get to hear him talk.

The amazing outpouring of support from the gaming community (To say nothing of the great writeups and streams in his memory that respected game journalists and developers did in the past 24 hours) shows how much of an impact he had on so many people.

Rest in peace, man.

@professoress: So, played 4 more levels and it most definitely is a slower game on the Vita. Not literally (The game obviously runs at the same speed as on the PC), but you do need to be more methodical and careful in how you approach each room. Melee weapons are pretty much unchanged and moving your character with analog input is nice, but the moment you have to throw or shoot a weapon you'll definitely wish you had a mouse's precision.

You know those moments in the PC version where you found yourself surrounded by 3 enemies rushing straight at you from different directions and you could shoot one before he got close, throw your now empty gun at another, grab a baseball bat and bash the third and finally close in and stomp the second guy's head while he was flat on the ground? That can still happen on the Vita, but it feels more like blind luck than actual skill, and at least in my case I'm trying to avoid those situations as much as possible because with the Vita's analog stick I miss 50% of my ranged attacks performed under pressure. You can use the touch screen to tap an enemy in order to lock on, but doing that in the middle of a fight is a great way to die.

It's still an awesome port that's well worth buying, but no way it's better than the PC version.

Played the first 2 levels on the Vita. The controls feel much less precise so I'm not confident enough to fly through the levels like a maniac as I did in the PC version, but maybe I just need to get used to them.

Weirdly, since I have a Japanese Vita the "accept" button is O but all the screen prompts still display X.

If there was a thing you wanted Sony to do at today's press event, they probably did it.

Well, I wanted them to announce at least one new and exciting original game for the Vita, but alas...

Mirror's Edge 2 and Peggle 2 are day one buys for me. Titanfall and Battlefield 3 could be interesting, even though I'm not really that into multiplayer FPS anymore.

Dragon Age: Inquisition, though? After DA2 they'll have to work very hard to win me back.

Got 7 keys to give away, if you want one either PM me your e-mail or friend me on Steam and I'll send you one.

Note: Since I get friend requests from item traders all the time I will only add you if you're part of the Giant Bomb Steam group.

Edit: All keys gone.
