I only tuned in about an hour before they were done so that kind of sucked. I really wanted to hear the membership talk but I'll watch the archive later so it's all good.
I know most people don't want to spend a butt load on new consoles again, but I am ready for a new gen already. I want to finally make full use of my 1080p tv, and have games run at a solid 60 frames instead of a dodgy 30 that we usually get. Those are the only two things I want actually, the actual graphics could stay the same for all I care.
Well, i seriously doubt anyones going to make a 500gb console to store all that stuff. Thats why pcs exist.
500 gb is nothing right now. you can get a 1tb HD for like 60 bucks! Also pcs still dont have tons of games exclusive to consoles, and lots of the games that get released on pc are shitty ports. Reason I made the topic in the first place was because I went to like 5 different stores looking for NFS hot pursuit and Catherine. Out of 5 stores none had a game that wasnt even a year old? Why can't I just load up my console, go to the n section and give people my money.
But is it really that much more effort to put out a game digitally as well as on disc? I actually want to know. Why doesn't every developer want their game available from something like games on demand.
Called it the companion cube, and it supported a Steam like system, would you pay 500 bucks for one? Seriously though, I know it's probably been discussed but do you guys think the next set of consoles will support digital downloads as well as steam has?
